Help-Portsmouth High School needs game 5/5/08

I just learned at 8:30 Sunday night that we have a cancellation, we have the field ready, we have umpires, but there was some sort of confusion, and now we have no opponent. Anyone available please post here, e-mail me at [email protected], or call 740.353.2420, send smoke signals, morse code, or some other form of communication. Supposed to be a beautiful day, hopefully we can get something in.

Forgot to mention that we have lights as well, so a later start would be okay if someone would have trouble getting a bus until later.

I heard through a VERY RELIABLE source that Wheelersburg will make the trip to play Portsmouth this afternoon at 5 p.m.

good ball game to wacth...Burg won 3 to 1.

Burg picted Cook,,,and Portsmouth picthed T.J. Aerwood<spell

both picthers went the distance.

Burg looked a little sluggish in this one and the hitting was spotty at best. Several solid extra base hits but spread out over the 7 innings. Several good extra base hit by Portsmouth as well.

These are the kinds of games both teams need going inot the tourney. Sounded like both pitcher pitched a heck of a ballgame. Both going the distance with the Burg pulling out the hard fought victory.
