Miller and Watkins should share time at the 3 spot. Parsons and Waderker the same at the point position.

Agreed. It will be nice to have 2 quality kids at that position. Waderker is physically stronger and as stated earlier more varsity experince. I think Watkins and Miller at the 3 gives Belpre a unique abilty to be flexable. With Miller it gives you another playmaker on the floor, Watkins brings a more physical presence to the team. I see all 4 of these kids playing major roles this upcoming season.

Yea your right. Miller can shoot the ball well, and Watkins is strong and physical, and will get about 10 pts just off rebounds. All these kids we are talking about are all young.
Sophmores-Watkins, Waderker, Miller
Juniors-Tate,Parsons,Slattery
Seniors-Loyland,Azar,Eaton

Sounds like you all are predicting a long bench... I wonder how it will play out.?. Wonder how many of these guys will earn the coach's trust and confidence during pre-season.?. If a coach can play 9-10 guys with confidence I have to believe its an advantage... This might fit the Eagles' coach's style a little better...pressuring and running!?!

is the junior class talented? from what i have been reading they have tate, slattery, parsons, campbell, williams, and leasure. the first 3 or 4 will see playing time no doubt. with tate being the leader, as a long time watcher of the eagles, parsons should be able to be at that level too.

A big key for this team will be how well they jell and play to their strengths. Teamwork has always been the strength of this group. Seniors, juniors and sophomores have always played team basketball. Played and competed at a high level. Winning will come if they are willing to continue with the team first concept.
The sophomores have always had Watkins who opposing coaches would be wary of but Miller or Waderker could hurt you just as bad and usually in a variety of ways. In the junior class it was Tate but again, Parsons, Slattery or Leasure could step up and get 20+. Now can they do it at the varsity level and I believe they can and will. When you add in Azar and Loyland to lead this group, it could translate to a nice year.

GO EAGLES

i agree with you 100 percent gotgame. I believe parsons will step up and have 1 or 2 of those games and slattery maybe one. they have backups for all positions.
point guard- waderker and parsons
shooting guard- tate and slattery
small foward- watkins and miller
power foward- loyland and campbell
center- azar and eaton

they have a well based team. they should gel they have plenty of options

Tyler Leasure never had 20 points in a JV game, how can you say he would have 20 in a varsity game?

You've got to make room for Josh Campbell. From what I've been hearing he's been doing an awesome job at the open gym sessions. He's one of the best leapers on the team and one of the strongest. A kid that athletic has a definate upside. Also with Parsons, Slattery and Miller, you've got all guards and you can never have enough post players.
