Crazy thing is 5 of those 7 was on the same team at one time.

Yeah and if that steals and assists leader of all time could hit a deep pull up game winning 3 out of a crossover they might of made it to the convo haha!!! Or just a few of the abnormal TO's from some of the teams key players haha!!!!!

Isn't that right Mercerville Monster? LOL!!!

I think you are letting your kinship with Mike cloud your judgement. Mike was a good player and did a good jog for that team, but in no way is he one of the best ever at Fairland. Believe me, I go way back in Fairland athletics (much further than you I am sure). Like I said, Mike was good and I enjoyed watching him play, but you must be realistic.

Are you telling me we should put Hatfield or Zach Jordan on this list because they were the generals that lead Fairland to the Regionals this year? I will stick by my original list.

I think Mike Black was one of the best Point Guards that came out of Fairland. He not only scored 17-18 per game, he was a lockdown defender. He led his team in assists and steals. Also, he was 2nd in points behind P. Dillon. If you add P. Dillon to the list Mike should be there. Mike was a better player than him. He shot 50% from the fiels as a guard. Also, Fairland was a DIV II school back then. It was a little tougher when only 2 schools came out of the area. As far as Hatfield and Jordan, now way they are better ball handlers or defenders as Mike Black. Anyways, I wouldn't put a kid that might up and leave your program on the list.

I'd subsitute Randy Rosselot or Tim Copas for Blakely and I'd have to get Deron Breeze in there probably instead of Toole.

I think I might agree with you about Deron Breeze over Eric Toole - just because of a pure talent perspective. Im not sure Eric was any better than Brian Toole (93). Another good player who doesnt get a lot of respect was Eric Evilsizer (95). Roger Blakely was a 3 year starter on winning teams and one of the best athletes of all time from that school.

I agree about Evilsizer. Played against Blakely, Rosselot, and Tim Copas. I stand by what I said.

You are a class act future and one of the many reasons why Fairland has such a successful program.

I do agree that Mike was pretty much the glue that held that team together. But I will disagree that D-2 was tougher than D-3 at that time.I felt it was actually an easier route to the regional in D-2 because D-3 in the SE district at that time was really tough.I mean tou had N.Adams with Copas and Wheelersburg with the Eaton boys and of course you know about Chesapeake in the 90s.Pretty much at that time in D-2 you were going to have to go through Hillsboro or Greenfield McClain to get to the regional which we did.

bgmonster, I think you have me confused with someone else. I followed Fairland in the Mid 90's because of consolidation. I think Fairland is a great school and they made me feel welcome during that stretch. I bleed red and gold. I graduated from hannan trace.

No!Wheelersburg beat Fairland in 1995 in the district semi.Fairland was up one with 6.4 seconds left.Eaton got the ball and went coast to coast to force OT,Fairland was D-3 in 95.They moved up to D-2 in 1996 and beat Hillsboro to win the district title.Hillsboro had a big kid named T.J. Turner who was a 4 year starter in football at Michigan State.Fairland lost to Bellaire and Jose Davis in 1996.Davis was a 2 sport star at Kent State before playing in the CFL.His brother Nate is presently the starting QB at Ball State.

Earp, you're right. In 1995, Fairland had their better team but just ran in to wheelersburg. I think other than the early 90's team with a healthy Ramey, that was the best team Fairland had had in a very long time. I think the 1995 Fairland team would've beat the 2008 team.

Oh yeah!I completly agree with you on that!I think any of of the teams from the early and mid 90s would have easily handled these teams! There is not a single kid on any of the recent teams that could have handled Ramey or Hughes!Thats a fact! ;-) And youre right they kind of ran into them.Probably we had a better team but they were just a bit better at tourney time!Thats the beauty of the tournament,On a given day anybody can get anybody! ;-)

Mr. Milhoan was truely a beast. I played gold for him in 1989 and he was still the best shooter ever at GA. He could hit that behind the back throw over the backboard shot at least 60% of the time in 1989. To back up what 4ever said about the 63 point game, my dad was at the game and the funny part was that Logan only scored 61 points. Milhoan and Jim Thomas were teammates. Word is that Milhoan used to cross half court and if not guarded he would just shoot, of course that was in the smaller gymnasium but still longer than any 20 foot 3 pointer. Told us that we needed to practice more in golf and that he used to make 100 fts in a row before leaving the gym everyday, i later spoke with an ex-teammate of his who verified that story to be ligit. I think at Mrashall he made sometihing like 95% of his fts for his career.
