No, Ozzie, I haven't. But it sounds like fun. Some in my club have done rivers out West & rave about the experiences. I like Canada as there are some excellent trips there, close & simple. There is talk of doing Baja in Mexico.

I post a blog of my trips in the club on my MySpace page. Love the sport and great fun, good exercise, scenic, sunshine, fresh air and good friends.

And, I'm still the club Prez, now for 3 years.

During the week, I usually do not have time for breakfast, so my breakfast is a Pepsi, (I can't do coffee). On Weekends, I usually fix a big breakfast for the family.

When I worked day shift [7:00 AM - 3:30 PM] I was packing a lunch for my school-age kids prior to leaving for work, and I fixed and ate a similar portion of those foods [not usually defined as "breakfast"] for myself at that time.
When I switched to night shift [11:00 PM - 7:30 AM] and my kids were grown and gone, breakfast "time" became "big meal" time - the end of the day rather than the start. Sometimes I ate "breakfast" foods, sometimes not.
When I retired and was living alone, the time of day didn't matter. I ate whatever food at whatever hour. And I ate too much!
When I decided to adopt a "low-carb" weight-reduction program, I began eating a grapefruit, boiled egg, and yogurt "first meal" [no matter what the clock-hour].
Sometimes I have oatmeal [not instant] in place of either the grapefruit or the egg - that's still my habit, but the "time" widely varies since I no longer have to "answer a bell", and "breakfast" can be whenever I want it to be!
But eating something protein-rich rather than carbohydrate-loaded when you get up and get started will stand you in better stead!

When I'm working, whatever is available. If I'm home alone, Fruity Pebbles or Cinnamon Toast Crunch. With the family, pancakes with sausage or bacon.

If I get up early, say before 8am, I usually can't eat. After 8am, it's usually just cereal.

My favorite breakfast food though is french toast.

I usually don't eat breakfast, unless it is on the weekend. But I'll eat the oatmeal for lunch and/or dinner.

And here I thought you had to answer to "Reveille" at some "0-dark-30" hour every morning, and eat whatever you were served, no choice about it.

Have you ever biked at Vultures Knob over in Wooster? Great, great place with some neat stuff!

Caglewis, that was the case in basic training and technical school. Once at our permanent duty station, we fend for ourselves. They do provide 4 squares a day at the Chow Hall, for those who live in barracks.
