dude you have a problem, shut up and quit being jealous, OJ worked hard for the money he is making, why would you not want to move to memphis and support your FAMILY with the great accomplishment they have achieved, talent alone does not get you to the NBA your work ethic does....hhmmmm why would two D-I schools offer todd a scholarship if he sucked....is anyone getting offers at Gallia?

I don't think I mentioned either Gallia Academy team. No jealousy here friend. No prob. with O.J., whether or not the 2 younger siblings are superstars is just a matter of my opinion. Way too much ado about nothing. I happen to know that the best players don't always get to play, in South Point and Gallipolis. You guys should teach a class in butt-kissing.

galliagrad why would u get on here and criticize someone and clearly not have the facts to back it up, and you wanna dish it out and not be able to take it back. i no o.j,todd and tann personally and ive known them all since they became big around here everyone new o.j was gonna make it big the kid was a player since he could dribble, ive played with tann many times also and being a sister of todd and o.j she has a good game she can play ball theres no special favors shes getting cause of oj she made it through high school bball on her own and she also excelled in academics and for todd yes when he was younger he had an attitude problem but then you grow up and he seen the future he has and the opportunities he will have and you could see that last season as he stepped up as a leader for SP and had an undefeated season i dont believe he ever did anything wrong as a player and there were other players on the team i never seen him ball hog ive always thought he was a player since ive known him and i dont see why he couldnt follow in his brothers footsteps to go big so thats just my opinion with a little more knowledge of the person on hand and as of SP this season i think they will be contenders and no one should count them out.

......OK? Well I guess somehow coach norris was butt kissing and letting Todd start and somehow coach norris talked every other coach into letting todd score 20+ every game.....i think you figured it out.....i was comparing SP to Galia to show that todd would been the best player on gallia's team and T'ann wouldv'e started....no one said Todd and T ann were superstars..you saw one game? one

There is a lot of argument over how good todd mayo is on here...I don't know if he can play D1 simply for his size he's not the biggest guy...and I think a lot of it does help that his brother is O.J and that is a lot of the reason he has D1 schools looking at him... I played him last year "I played for northwest" he was really good I won't take away anything from him he has great talent...but he wasn't even the high scorer of the game hank leslie was and because of his name mayo is getting D1 offers while leslie only has D3 schools looking at him right now

it doesnt matter that he wasnt the high scorer he averaged 20+ a game, yea he should have D1 schools lookin at him i mean he was only a sophomore last year he still has time to grow as an all around player and with his brother being who he is this means todd will have harder workouts and try to get when we needs to be physically to play college ball

Actually friend, I was commenting on the female Mayo. I happen to know a girl from the 06-07 team that sat the bench while miss mayo played the entire game. This particular girl got an offer to play at Rio, (which granted, is not D1 or anything), but still an offer. Just curious, did miss Mayo get an offer at Marshall?
And, as far as Todd starting on the GAHS team, I doubt that you could actually guarantee that, now could you?

If Todd Mayo does what he is asked to do he would have started for all but a few teams in SE district last year.

The "young lady" you are refferring to that sat the bench the entire game, and most of the season while T'ann Mayo played deserved to be on the bench. She was slow, small, and lacked in the defense catagory. However, she was a a nice shooter. Mayo constantly pushed herself, was quick, played excellent pressure defense, and could handle the ball in any situation. The 06-07 team would have been hurting without Mayo. She deserved every second of playing time she recieved. As far as Rio Grande, nothing ever came of that "so called offer".

And for the record, Miss Mayo had a chance to play at Marshall and a few other schools, but decided to focus on academics instead.

as for the 06-07 lady pointer team
without mayo they would have struggled
the coach obviously played the better player
i also know the female that sat the bench and she just didnt have it
if it wasnt for close relatives telling her that she was better than everybody maybe
she could have bettered herself the correct way
i dont even think that she is playing for rio grande anymore
actually i dont even think she is going to school
as for mayo, she did get an academic scholarship from MU
she chose to focus on school rather than sports
and as for todd, i heared he is doing fine down in memphis
coach norris also is a very good coach, so watever yall are talking about
its wrong!
not to b so blunt about it

Everytime ya'll talk about South Point basketball Mayo is brought up. He ain't there no more, so quit worrying about him and focus on the 08-09 Pointers.

How can you be sure of the young lady I was reffering to?

Probably because she was: 1. a guard, 2. said she had an offer from Rio Grande and 3. was whinning about Mayo taking her spot! and 4. you must be related to her or are good friends to be whinning about it 2 seasons later!
