In the Base Burnners Tourney the 10u Buckeye Divas was runner up to W.V. Wild Ones and in the W.V.Dusters Memorial Tourney the 10u Divas was runner up to TNT Explosion. Trying to get over the hump and win one but that will come with time. Great job Divas!!!

Baseburners 14 under finished 2nd, in the tournament went 3-0 on Sat , Sunday 2-1, played T&T Explosion in championship , Baseburners beat T&T Explosion Sat 3-1 great game, Sunday lost 11-0 to T&T Explosion to many errors for the baseburners in the championship game. T&T Explosion is a well coached team and have a bunch of talented girls that can play some ball.

Wild Thangs had a dissapointing weekend , We hoped to at least get a split with the Classics and the Lady Lasers . We went 3-2 on the weekend but lost both games to the 2 tough teams. We lost 8-4 or 7-4 to the Classics on sat. Dug huge hole early , just could'nt recover. Won our other 2 pool play games 10-0 and 10-0 but the competetion was weak , suprisingly weak. Played a pretty decent Lady Viper team on sun AM , we were a 2 seed, spotted them a 4 run lead but came back for a 8-4 win. We hit very well .

Set up a game with the Lasers Gold (this is their 11 yr olds which are equal to /or better than the laser silver , the 12 yr old laser team) They wanted us pretty badly, they were tops in the state last year and knew the WT's 10u were very good. Well they proved more up to the task than we were . Beat us 14-1. Sounds bad but realize this team went 62-0 last year. finished 9th in the nation at 10u ASA nationals. They knock the cover off the ball. They actually outscored their opponents a total of 80-6 on the weekend. They play near a 100 games a summer. Total dedication to the sport.

Was suprised at how terrible some of teams were. Why the coaches would sign their teams up for a weekend of 4 games to get mercied ruled 4 times is beyond me. One of the teams we beat 10-0 beat the other team we beat 16-2. I'll all for girls playing against tough competetion but getting throttled every time out is no good for anyone, the winning team or the losing team. The overall competetion (except for the lasers) was actually higher in WV and W ports. MD
