Can't wait to get this game started great to be back at the regionals some of these boys played in the regionals in 2006. Go BURG
Re: Burg vs. Indian Valley
Don't know what to think about this game. Also, I do not know much about Indian Valley other than they are usually a solid team with a solid program, they are 23-3 on the season and they would not be in the regionals if they were not pretty good. Also their #1 pitcher seems to be top notch as well but so is Burg's #1 Russell.
Wheelersburg has the talent to win this game but they will have to play solid on defense and have solid AB's. This game may come down to who can advance the runners into scoring position playing small ball as both pitchers are not known for allowing many runs or base runners.
If both play to their top level, this game could be a 1-0 or 2-1 contest and could go into extra innings.
Good Luck Pirates! Again, put faith in all the hard work you have done, stay focused, support each other, remain positive and BELIEVE.

Hopefully Burg will send those fast balls wizzing over the outfield fence
Re: Burg vs. Indian Valley
bushmaster24, if the kid is indeed throwing 92-94 then he will not see college, and if he just graduated from HS, then he should already be committed, so what grade is he in? I can't wait to see this kid throw and their should be plenty of scouts there.
Lord only help him if he is going to Kent State. Take it from a family that knows, Stricklin is not what he appears to be, But like I said if he throws in the 90's then he is getting drafted.
Good Luck to both teams on a great game.
Pirates, get the job done again, and again!

I saw Gasser for IV in the Regional last year. He only threw low to mid 80's when he pitched against Heath.

Burgrad82, you are correct, Burg should be Teeing off, the top 3 Burg pitchers also throw in the low to mid 80's, should be great for us that loved the 80's, lol!
Nice that it will be on the radio

Looking forward to the game tomorrow. Burg will have to take care of what they can control and not worry about what another team may bring to the table. The Pirates will need to do the little things well to move on. Take care of business!

I hope that is correct. I won't be able to go to the game because of work so at least I can listen to it.

Well... you may be out of luck. I heard again this morning that it is a good possibility that it will not be broadcasted due to lack of sponsors.

Maybe we can drum up enough sponsorship to get this game on the radio. Not much time though.

Re: Burg vs. Indian Valley
Just looking at both teams, you give that edge to Wheelersburg.
The only way I can see IV winning, is if their pitcher is just completly lights out nasty. But, if it's the same Gasser as last season, I don't see him as being that. He is very good, but I would take Russell and Wamsley over him, IMO.
I'll take Burg, 7-1
