29-7 sounds more like a football score. Fear the Lady Shermans. :122249

Sheik:
Those lady Shermans bats were cracking on the ball like shoulder pads at OSU spring practice.

Speaking of OSU football shades of Woody Hayes shown through when the Hilsboro Herald reporter asked The U's coach why he pushed two runners across the plate on a sacrifice fly with a 20 plus run lead already. The U's coach responded "We scored two there because we couldnt score three".

Unioto 7 Logan Elm 5

Logan Elm had the Shermans 5-0 after the top half of the 1st inning.
Great comeback and a big win for the Shermans over one of the top teams in our area.

D3 led by Toledo signee Emily Anderson in the circle .. played with her and against her for years . IMO could have been a large D-1 pitcher. She choose not to pursue that route but she can be over whelming at times. MD

also d-1 signee Mckenna Miller at 1st base. slaps and hit for power also. but they dont have a deep roster , they get a little thin towards the bottom of the lineup. I think Mckenna verballed to Middle Tn St ? or somewhere in Tn .

Unioto/Eastern Brown/CNE canceled today do to lastnights rain.
Tried to get it moved to Unioto but transpotation logistics could not be worked out on short notice.

Nice to hear the Lady Shermans are stepping out and finding top notch teams to face in the non-league.
It would have been good for the Shermans to face an Emily Anderson type pitcher before this weeks big SVC match-up with Zane Trace.

Kind of neat to bring this old preseason thread back up to the top.

With one game to go it looks like ZT is a lock for at least a share of the title while Unioto will have to beat a very good Piketon Club to get their share of SVC.

Huntington was within one hit of winning several games this season.

Westfall quietly found themselves right in the thick of the title picture.

Piketon <see above^> Also had some close ones that could have went either way.

Adena played ZT as close as anybody in the second half of the league play.

Very nice season for the SVC and good luck to all on the tournament trail.
