A week ago I would have said it should be a close game. But after seeing the result Southern had with Trimble, I believe Waterford will run away with this one. I sure hope I am wrong!

Seen Waterford vs Fort Frye, and they outplayed the Cadets most of the first half, and into the third quarter.
These Cats are the real deal. Knowing nothing about Southern, I'll still take Waterford by two TD'S.

I'm going to say Waterford by 13.
Southern responds to last week's game by fighting and clawing but the Wildcats pull away late in the 3rd.

Waterford might be one of the better teams in this region. They'll flex their offensive firepower on Friday. I would say it will something like Fonzie said.

I will be making my first trip ever to watch a game at Waterford.

I drove by the stadium last season on my way to Warren, and decided to put them on my want to see list. Just did not think it would be this season.

I know the stadium is grass and there did not look like a lot of seating. Is it all general season or is there the dreaded reserve seating on the home side?

Pics and article will happen, if no rain.

There is plenty of seating on the home side, have yet to see the away side even come close to being filled yet this year. Beside the concession stands and locker rooms there is a hill that some people sit on in lawn chairs but those people get there early for those seats. On Home side bleachers there have been some open spots this year but I expect the home side to be packed for this game

Don't miss out on Jukebox Pizza while you are in town. If you come in on 339 from Beverly, turn left just off the bridge; best pizza in the county is at the bottom of the hill.

Heard Cody Greene may be back in uniform for Southern after a pre-season ATV accident (starting RB/LB last 2 years)... IF they get him and Blanks back to 100% before the playoffs things could get interesting... Hearing both are scheduled to be back NEXT week which is horrible timing for Tornadoes but I'm sure it will take them a few weeks to fully rehab and be ready to play anyway so coming back into a game like Waterford could be horrific and smart to keep them out. Southern has played just fine without them, but they could be an extra spark plug come weeks 9 and beyond.

Back to the game-

I think Southern will be all kinds of pumped up and ready to avenge their loss to Trimble and battle for their share of the TVC Hocking! My heart says they will battle hard and it will come down to the 4th Qtr and it will be a toss up but my mind says Waterford will control the line of scrimmage the way Trimble did. Southern is a few years in the weight room away from being a hard nosed Chancey style team, they are well coached and have great fundamentals but lack the strength of Trimble/Waterford. Southern won't give up and will fight until the end but I'm predicting 35-14 Wildcats.

I will try to check out the pizza place, if I get near town early enough.
