We stuck the kids in the pool and checked out the window to make sure they were ok once in a while. And yes I think we're spoiled and our bodies just aren't used to the heat.
I decided to don a bathing suit and sit out in the sun yesterday. We are going to Florida in a few weeks and I am not tan at all. I sat out with one of my daughters for 15 mins. and I couldn't take it anymore. I even was red Sunday evening.
I love this weather! The hotter the better for me.
I usually sit out back in the sun and read a book. Then I take my walk thru the cemetary. This is my favorite time of the year. The only thing better would be if I still lived at the beach.
In fact I just came in to get a drink but the hubby called and wants me to go get ice since he is getting off early today to go golfing. So after the store, it is back out in the sun for me.

I never have been able to just sit in the sun or lay in the sun.. must be the country girl in me
I miss the beach also. I lived at Ft Stewart Georgia for 8 yrs. I was either at the beach or at one of the 3 pools they had on post, almost everyday. I would love to live at the ocean all the time, and we aren't going there for vacation this year, so I will try to get my Hubby on the putting up a pool project!!!! We have one, we bought from a friend. They bought it new a couple of years ago. I just need to get my Hubby to get the ball rolling, and in this heat...that ball won't be rolling anytime soon!
I'm spending this one putting primer on a bathroom wall....Getting ready to paint it BRIGHT yellow tomorrow...Then decking it out in rubber ducky trim...
