Ironton showed great improvement against Jackson and I expect them to build on that.
They will be the under dog against Hartley but I do not believe they will get blown out.
I expect a good game and a close one and believe Ironton can pull a win out of this.
Why do I believe so because I am a Ironton fan and believe in the coaches and the players and believe they are ready to Roar that they are back.

This should be an epic battle between 2 very good teams. Both will be fired up. I think our record this year will fool some people. For those of you that want to relive last years regional championship game between these 2 teams here's the link. You can also see the play where we made a great play breaking up the pass but then got flagged for a celebration that gave Hartley a 1st down at 4:33 of this video. It was 3rd down and 5 on Hartley's own 6 yard line with Ironton up 14-10 and 2:50 to go in the 3rd quarter. The next play should've been a punt from their own endzone to Tres Wilks but thats the way it goes. Hartley then drove all the way down and kicked a field goal to make it 14-13 Ironton and the rest is history. Its cool knowing we beat the 2010 State Champions 1 game and 3 quarters. GO TIGERS lets show the state of Ohio how we play football down here!!!

Again, Hartley is a much different team this year than last year.

No matter the call on the celebration, Ironton led 14-13 WITH THE BALL in the 4th quarter and could not hold on.

Again, both teams are MUCH different than they were a year ago.

Should be a great game.

Going on a limb and saying Ironton shows up and pulls it out 30-18 just have faith my Tigers are still believers in winning games.

i'm going back to this game , and i posted at great length about it when it happened , people think 1 bad call can't lose a game. it can. the kid that hit the reciever had no idea from what i saw , he was celebrating a good, clean hit. with a lil fist pump, the call was so bogus. i watched bishop hartley the week they won the state, and they were doing choreographed celebrations, hand gestures , cool hand shakes , the whole 9 yards. personally, as long as you act like you been there, that's fine by me. but what is good for the goose is good for the gander. call it one way or another. i'm 51 , and still get fired up over these injustices and variations in calls.

Who is making the trip?

My wife works second shift, so I'm looking for a game to attend.
It's either Davidson/Coffman, or this one.

I agree. However, I haven't seen Gallia have a good crowd in many years. If not for Ironton, Gallia would have about 300 at home. Pathetic. Maybe Fairland will bring more?

Both Ironton and GAHS travel well. This years game was well attended on both sides. Some posters give me the impression that there were two games, by the same teams on the same night, because 'fans' post opposite views about the same thing. Some of this is just because someone doesn't like a certain team. There are no excuses to post something that flagrantly isn't so. Go Ironton make SEO proud.
