I talked to GB today. He sounded good over the phone. He's not supposed to be around a bunch of people due to the chemo lowering his immunity. His diabetes is still fluctuating due to the chemo and steroids. He sounds a little stir crazy and said he can only stare at the internet for so long so give him a call if you get a few spare minutes. I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

As my luck would have it, I spoke too soon. Looks as if Greg is back in the hospital today. Not sure what is wrong, but keep the good thoughts coming.

Hang in there big Guy..You are a battler...Hope this poem helps you and your family. I read it when things don't go my way..God bless and prayers from our house to yours..

"In His Hands"

We know not what tomorrow brings
... Although we plan ahead
For only God alone can know
... the pathway we must tread.

We cannot know the future
... not one minute nor one hour
Each circumstance that we must face
... lay only in His power.

It's vital that we live by faith
... from minute unto minute
And trusting that each step we take
... He's walking with us in it.

We cannot see the future
... nor the trials we must face
But in all things, God promised us
... sufficiency of grace.

This alone should give us hope
... whatever be our plans
In knowing that our future lies
... in His sweet, loving hands.

I wanted to take this time to thank all of the SEOPS members (along w/everyone else) who have helped me in the past 7 months. On January 12th, we received the great news that the cancer was gone. I will now continue with scans every few months to monitor the situation. Thanks everyone again and I look forward to getting back on the diamond in the next few weeks.
