socII PLAYER OF THE YEAR?
Re: socII PLAYER OF THE YEAR?
I would like to change my prediction. Oak Hill will be so balanced that one girl will not put up the numbers to earn POY. I will now predict the Harris girl from Minford, who is a really nice player.

Just a question. Have two girls from the same team ever shared the award?

I don't think that it will ever happen because coaches want to put there own players up for the award and it is very political.
Re: socII PLAYER OF THE YEAR?
Kayla Cook will be out for most of the season from what i hear
This is sad because she is a very excellent player, and could win again

Can't see that happening, a player being out half season and win POY
unless there is literally nobody else on the team and she has to score all the points...if that's the case than i see a possibility.

Cookie is a player. Individual awards don't mean anything to her. She will come back and work her butt off to make Webster tuff again.

what do you mean south webster has sherman and those other girls they are dominating gilrs sports and you dont dominate with just one player. webster should be fine. look for devan scarberry to be in the running for this and shes just a sophmore.

She's a dandy but Oak Hill plays too many players and have too much talent to pick just one. They play TEAM ball.

BTW, has everyone forgot about Adkins #33 from Oak Hill. She has started Varsity for most of her HS career.

I hope one of our Oak Hill girls gets it if they win the SOC i feel that one of them deserve it. Who has been the leading scorer for most of their games? It all is about equal it seems to me.

i have a question. is poy choosen by points only or by an all around player? more than likely poy will be given to a lady oak. also feel this award should be based on an all around player and not just by a leading scorer imo.

^^^^^
i would hope so. nothing bites me more than to watch a player try to score all the time to up their stats but refuses to play defense and give up as many points as he or she puts in or to walk back on defense when their shot dont fall.

Adkins from OH should be right up there as well as Cook from Webster and Harris from Minford but I think OH has a few dark horse freshman in the younger Butler, Caudill and T Hale. They may not be the top scorers but their all around game has been pretty good. IMO they are at least the best freshman in the SOC II this year.
