Balldude I agree. Noble needs to play under control. He had 5 turnovers himself before halftime. Wish Dovenbarger wouldn't have hurt his ankle. He could have been the difference. He played a great game.

What was up with the starting lineup? I think the starters played hard, but I was just wondering what happened.

5 to's not to mention 5 really bad shots! i'll bet RV out rebounded CG.
Billings must have been mad because RV beat GA with the game he called as a ref tonite, that was pathetic!

Haha, easy man. He is just doing his hobby. I'm sure he didn't mean for it to come off as life or death like it did.Rvbballdude wrote:ok read the paper or on here just like we will have to do!Jottings wrote:Need South Point, Rock Hill score. Thanks.

Not a whole lot of offensive boards though. What were we from the stripe? It was bad.Rvbballdude wrote:sent ya a pm!BlizzardMan wrote:What was up with the starting lineup? I think the starters played hard, but I was just wondering what happened.

Sometimes its about the X's and O's other times it's the Jimmy's Joe's Here sounds like both. If the players don't make the plays thats on them but someone somewhere put them there to make those decisions. So as far as I'm concerned which could really care less last time I checked it's a team sport you win as a team you lose as a team. YES, that includes the coach and players as a unit. Tournament time saturday night should be the prelude to the play in game of the sectional at Athens neither team has a chance before seeding to improve standings so this should be the play in game to play number one.

River Valley has 4 games yet that are very winnable!
That would mean 6 wins, they would move up from that next to last spot.
They have to play up to their potential, plain and simple.
This sectional is a toss of the hat any how,do you see a clear no 1? I think any team in the sectional has a fair shot to come out of the bracket!

Guess not! Looks to me like they had several winnable games to improve upon. Winning and winnable games are two different things you actually have to win them not come close. It's like saying your kids played hard but lost anyway. Not for sure but if the next four games include chessy realistically if you call that a winnable ball game you got your wires crossed or praying for a miracle and just because you play somebody tuff doesn't give you street credit come tournament time. I'm one for one R.V. didn't score 50 against coal grove either but it was close it was 48 but in your book of assumptions that was a winnable prediction. Yeah they got a slim chance to improve seeding even if the win two more realistically shouldn't move ahead of Alex because Alex won the head to head so you better get three of the next four to have a great argument. As far as a clear cut number 1 doesn't matter 1-4 will tough enough for R.V. are they capable very much, but realistically not going to happen. Not bashing or arguing just pointing out clear cut facts based on records and past histories.

Re: Coal Grove @ River Valley 2/3
I've said this numerous times on this site. Forget the morale victory crap. It's time to take losing for what it is-- losing. I keep thinking this team us better than their record, but maybe not. Talent is one thing, which this team does have. However, winning is about so much more than just talent. We lack control, poise and instinct at RV, and not only in basketball. Also, dedication is missing, not from all of our athletes but our teams as s whole. I was talking to some football players last night who said they hadn't started lifting yet. This is February! Winning programs never stop lofting. They also don't have to tell their athletes when lifting starts again. They already know.THE JUDGE and JURY wrote:Guess not! Back to last nights game, RV simply got out hustled as well. That usually doesn't happen to this team.

Understand that I am not bashing the players or the team, thus is just my opinion as to why RV cannot consistently win even with ample talent overall in all athletics.
Re: Coal Grove @ River Valley 2/3
No wonder you can't win you have parents on here calling out other players. If you want to call your own kid out that is one thing. It is not your place to call another kid out. You are not the coach.

Judge and Jury lol! Head to head matchup? Lol you know very little about the politics of sectional seeding! Rv has to win those games 3/4 are at Rv
As i said before get a clue lol
Fred G Sanford
Lol i wasn't calling a single kid out. I talk to these kids a lot and they know who its on, mind your own freakin business
Blizzard man
I'll agree Rv did get out hustled in the 1st half not the 2nd i also think had we gotten that game to Ot Rv would have won,CG was spent!

Calling a kid out on a public forum with his name is unacceptable. You have some issues, you need to step back and listen to yourself.

It's awful hard to lift without a usable weight room.BlizzardMan wrote: I was talking to some football players last night who said they hadn't started lifting yet. This is February! Facts are a PITA, and they frustrate us all. The coaching staff wants to be lifting, but they were to wait for the new weight room, which keeps getting bumped back, and back, and back, and back.
There is more going on than meets the eye.

Again, guess not! Not that its really going to matter to anyone except for yourself to here you talk bad about everyone on here that has an opinion. The TVC league teams will stick together its about getting matchups that they can win not R.V. or Crooksville Wellston has new coach in past teams didnt like them but with new coach may be able to build some alliances. Make no mistake about it TVC sticks as in other Sectionals OVC sticks SHL etc. so it will be best matchups for them wouldn't surprise me if R.V. gets matched up with Meigs they might want to see a scenario of Hill against Ewing then vote Belpre #1 and let Hill go against old Player in Thornehill. It could very well play out that way Because no one wants to play Belpre, their really just a bad matchup and have a really great point guard (Ullman) which will probably be robbed of P.Y.O. this year because being a JR. instead of a SR. yep thats politics right there. Either way I don't think to many care one way or the other it's just tournament time and the best part of the year is discussing seeding and what matchups you would like to see etc. Not listening to BLAH BLAH BLAH you don't have a clue. No one but about 5 or 6 coaches will have a clue on sunday when the alliances are formed. Right before someone thinks they got screwed LOL! Even then no one cares. Bring on the madness!!!
