I had two foursome ready to come, just to be able to scramble Fairgreens, we thought would be fun. However, in light of recent events we much rather set our $75 on fire then to attend this scramble.

Tiger, Phil and Rocco are all transferring in for the outing and may be given a wavier to compete on the Golden Rocket golf team next season!

Wow! I just got home. The Sheriff and I have been in Mt. Pilot all day on "business". What happened to all of the Wellston Basketball threads?
P.S. - Thanks Aunt Bea for all of the sandwiches for the road!

Randy...agree to disagree about the transfer situation but I agree that the thread was out of control and as such, should be gone .

Maybe you should have asked your buddy yesterday.
Also, Randy, I'm curious as to what is being left "unsaid".
Maybe you should stop trying to stir the pot again. Do you honestly have nothing better to do with your time than bash coaches and kids in Wellston?

The Captain DOES a lot of "pot-stirring" but I don't believe this is a case of it. His post was, in my opinion, warranted.
My, how forums pertaining to a golf scramble in Wellston escalate.

I don't think so. I think it is something that could be discussed in a private message to prevent further bashing of anyone, including a 13 year-old kid...not that any of it would be the Captain's or anyone else who posts on this forum's business to know why the kid chose to do what he did.

I don't think there's been any bashing of the young man, just questions as to why he decided to leave the school in which many of the posters support. I haven't seen any assumptions behind his transferring, only inquisitions. There was a lot of time invested in him by a lot of people and it doesn't seem unreasonable to ask for an explanation.
