Honestly from what I saw, not bad. Essentially they don't throw hard, but they don't walk very many and their defense played well on the infield. Outfield is *very* shaky though.

I couldnt fugure out why they would play this at 5 30....either early motning or late evening would be much cooler on the kids.

Minford won 10-8. I want to say that as a Minford fan I found that the players and coaching staff of the Coal Grove team played the game the way it is supposed to be played. Their sportsmanship was exemplary. It would be great if all teams could conduct themselves in such a manner. Go Minford- beat Wheelersburg.

Baseball, I would have to agree with you on that. I was at the game and saw coaches from Coal Grove going to the Minford kids between innings and telling them good job and even going on the field to shake their hand when they were taken out of the game as pitchers. It wasn't just Coal Grove with the good sportsmanship, the kids on both teams were VERY well behaved and disciplined. Fans were very respectful. This was fun to watch.

I just wont to say that as a Umpimer that it has been a PLEASURE to do the 9-10 yr old Tournament this year. Thanks to ALL the Umpires an the TEAMS an the COACHING STAFFS an LAST BUT NOT LEAST the LADYS AN GENTLEMEN from Portsmouth that helped in making this Tournament one to REMEMBER!!! THANKS!!!!!!!

MINFORD, defeats the PIRATES tonight, and wil force another game tommorw.

Burg had a 12 to 8 lead after 6 innings, minford scores 5 in the bottom of the 6th to win 13 to 12.....one hel of a ball game.

also Burg pitched 4 maybe 5 pitchers tonight, I think Minford threw 3.
