OMG you are killin me, well let's hope for the communities sake. And in today's ball, you got to mix it up, just running up the middle won't work, got to mix it up, everything, got to get rid of the primitive stuff.

Maybe against Rock Hill, it will not work once you start playing other teams around the state, who are good. That "if it ain't broke stuff" is yesteryear man. Can't compete with a well rounded team is you use the old stuff.
look out little one .......oooooopss i ma wanta to say whipper snapper....u play rock hill lets see how u handle the tigers first then u think about the little boys at the hill.lawrence county football? sciotocounty football?WETZEL MURPHY ALL U CAN HANDLE ,WERE STILL YEARS AWAY.WHEN IS THE BURG GOING TO GET THERE
whippersnapper, then if not fake cramps, then what was it, or was you even at that game, they faked to cramps so that they could have more time for players to catch their breath so they could run the next plays, it was obvious and it worked the first few times and then the refs let them do it atleast 20 more times, if they resort to cramps again, the refs should make the player get to the sidelines and put a replacement in and not have any delays. I was there and my son was on the field, playing without cramps, lol!
I am hoping to see a great game against Burg and Ironton and injury free, but I believe that the Burg will come out with the win. Just too fast!

So your suggestion is to have the officials question whether or not a player is actually injured and force him to the sideline to speed up play? I see a lawsuit in someone's future.

Well a cramp is not an injury so yeah they should grow some cojones and get off the field rolling around cryin. If a player hurts anything other than his lower body then they should get off the field with the exceptions of like a possible broken neck, back injuries, and stingers. In my opinion many professional athletes are pusses compared to those who played back in the early years of football and other sports...all money and no heart

Refs do tell them to get off the field all the time
MY OH MY,WHEN YOU CAN'T THINK OF ANY OTHER REASON OF GETTING BEAT OTHER THAN KIDS FAKING LEGIT INJURIES,SHAME ON YOU.BELEIVE IT OR NOT WHEN TOWO TEAMS GO ON THE FIELD ONE HAS TO LOSE,AND UNFORTUNATELY FOR THE BURG IT IS USUALLY THEM.

The problem with your plan is the officials don't know that it's a cramp. Only the player may know what is wrong. Due to all the liability issues out there, no official will force a player who appears to be injured off the field. If the player appears to be injured, the officials are instructed to stop the game and allow team personnel to take care of the player before continuing.
The old days are gone. Players didn't ask for water or help off the field for fear of being called weak but those days are gone. Again, get into the new millenium and you'll realize what a big deal liability has become.
Whether the Ironton players faked the cramps or had legit cramps no one knows except the players themselves. The thing that got me and seemed kind of odd was the players would get a cramp and head to the sidelines only to get within a few feet of the sidelines and then fall to the ground to be worked on when just another step or two would have gotten them off the field so play could be resumed. Most of the time they were met by a coach and it was like the coach was stopping them from reaching the sidelines and making them stay on the field.
I know it was very hot that night, and I think they are starting football way to early now to get the palyoffs in, but it was just strange that they could walk that far but not make it another few feet to get off the field.
But that is in the past and there is nothing that can be done about it. Both teams and the fans should focused on this years matchup which will be another dandy I'm sure.
Good luck to both squads and may the best team win. I hope it's injury free and both teams make the playoffs again this season.
Oh, and another thing. I remember all of the posts on here last year by the Ironton faithful about how good of shape the players were in, how having Lutz back would make a world of difference, and how Ironton was going to "run it down the Burgs throat" all night long. We all know how that turned out. Ironton may just beat the Burg this year and the odds are with them to do so since they do have a 13-4 advantage on the Pirates and have basically owned the Pirates for most part. But like I said last year, don't count your chickens until they hatch. The Burg may have lost quite a few players, but there were plenty of kids waiting in the wings as sophs and juniors and now it's their turn to shine.
Why is everyone still dwelling on a game 2 years ago, it's a new season and most of those players are gone. How about this years game.......
I like the Tigers chances in this game with a much more balanced attack. I have been going to the Tigers 2 a days and they are looking good. I think every throw I've seen the QB make has been lasers, alot of good receivers. I think everyone has an idea of the backfield (all returners) with a little more depth and speed. This Offense will put up alot of points. The defense should be better this year with a year under their belts. I look for this to be a good game with the Tigers coming out on top.
Even though I think the Tigers will win this one, it will be because of players, Coach W will be fine....Lutz lost several years ago to a first year head coach at Jackson, so if the Tigers don't pull this off, it won't be a first. I am sure tigerfodder i mean cannon remembers that.
