Re: WK 1 Ironton @ Wheelersburg
I think one of the keys for the Tigers this season is that they have the talent and depth to only have a few guys playing both ways, this is something they havn't had the luxury of doing in the past. This will especially help playing in the heat and I believe will be the difference maker in this game.
Tigers win another classic battle 28-21
GO TIGERS...........

Will have to go with I-town by 2. Just wish I could go and see it. Will be in the Furnace watching my kid perform, which is more important to me. Good luck to both teams, have a clean, injury free contest.

I was watching Misty may and Kerrie walsh last night, play the chinese. The chinese girl faked an injury to slow the tide just like she had in the previous round. Reminded me of Ironton 2-3 years ago at the miller dome with the cramping.

In my opinion if the Buckeyes would've faked cramps in their last 2 title games we would have beaten both Florida and LSU. As a matter of fact I'm emailing Mark Snyder now so he can implement this strategy to help turn Marshall around.
PS: Dibbs go out to Jenkins for taking the Bus head on. That took some guts and nuts.

After reading the posts on just this page alone I can't believe someone actually had the balls to say the Burg people were talking smack in a post a couple of days. It's getting so deep in here I'm going to have to put on my waders. lol

Some of these posters from i town sound like pissed off seniors from last year who got the crap kicked out of them. I think burg fans who keep bringing up last year are just annoyed because irontons fans dont seem to resepect wheelersburg football, which we think we have earned. jmo. This game will be close, i hope burg has the depth or conditioning to win, it will come down to t.o's and big plays.. no brainer huh..

ol' miss wrote:Alright let me slow it down for you........Tony will DESTROY wheelersburg's o-line..........is that clear enough for you......i dont care how it happens...walks,crawls,flies,swim,climbs, no matter the way it will be all over burgsl line
Maybe he will eat them...he seems to do alot of that
Re: WK 1 Ironton @ Wheelersburg
Ironton only has four players going both ways this year as long as they don't have any injuries...last year lutz not only came in with only a handful of players with any experience...most of his best players were either playing for the burg or rock hill....this year...he has his full arsenal, one extra player from proctorville that should be a force, and all of his players are experienced....I can't see wheelersburg doing what they did to ironton last year again...especially with a new coach...and not having their top player this year not comming from tigertown...blowout special...this time Ironton comes out on top....Ironton 35 burg....0

Re: WK 1 Ironton @ Wheelersburg
from what I have "heard" (And I STRESS that word, only heard!)
I have heard that Ironton is just as slow as they were in last years Burg/Ironton game.
Like I said just hearsay, but if that is the case and your main man Murph really does go down after getting hit 1 time, It will be a long night for the Tigers.
I am hoping for a close, hard fought game, injury free. Cause I feel both teams will go far this season and I want them to have all their weapons.
Final Prediction. I want Burg to win, but I really think Ironton edges this one out like the last 5 of 6 years. Giving all the Ironton fans in this thread all the I told you so even though they are calling for a blow out. It won't be!

We'll make sure we have plenty of guys in white lab coats and a good supply of Straight Jackets to take care of that problem. Wouldn't want any madmen loose in the stadium. lol

Re: WK 1 Ironton @ Wheelersburg
You all missed my point. Lutz STYLE of football was one year removed. Are you telling me these kids are so dumb they cant remember how to block? How to run the ball? he had that impact all the way down to peewee for thirty years and your going to argue that they lost it all in one year????? Respect lost. Ironton must be one and done every year. Why bring lutz back anyway? he doesnt pass and his running game will be crap since he left a whole year!!!!! Oh, he has one year back so now everyone knows what to do in gametime. Wait, they knew what to do last year but just forgot. One year is ONE YEAR. I hope burgs offense is ok, if so, they will win with no problems. Itowns oline is big and slow. The runners will be dragged down from behind like last year. Burgs D is for real but if the itown passing game is what the posters say it is, then this should get interesting. Glad to see Shank and others in the defensive backfield to take care of that. (i hope)
