Tackett beat Harlow the second week of the season. I believe it was an OT match. I don't see anything other than another battle. And it can go either way, this is nothing more that a toss-up and could go either way for either one of them. I would not bet money either way on this one. It may be the toughest match in the entire SEOAL tourney. And either could be ligitimate for MVW. Does anyone know of another weight class that the two in the finals could be this well matched? That might be a contender for the MVW match?

The MVP is League MVP not who does well at the league tournament who has represented our League all season not who does well at our league tournament

Not knowing exactly how league tourney is scored it is sort of hard for me to pick a winner. I think it would be scored so that every weight class winner would earn the proximate same amount of points if he has 2 or 5 wrestlers in his weight class. The difference would be points for pins or tech falls but the distribution should be close i would think. with that being the case.
i have it
1. logan
2. gallia
3. warren
4. jackson
5. chillicothie

winners by weight class
106 warren cognolton
113 warren parsons
120 gallia tawney
126 logan vanbibber
132 logan scarberry
138 warren knotts
145 gallia bush
152 jackson barr
160 logan wotring
170 gallia taylor
182 gallia tackett
195 gallia shoemaker
220 gallia byus
285 gallia guissinger

so even with gallia winning 7 weight classes i have them coming up a little bit short because of following
gallia and logan placement by weight class.

106 logan 2nd gallia no wrestler
113 logan 2nd gallia no wrestler
120 gallia 1st logan 2nd
126 logan 1st gallia 4th
132 logan 1st gallia 4th
138 logan 2nd gallia 3rd
145 gallia 1st logan 2nd
152 logan 3rd gallia 4th
160 logan 1st gallia 3rd
170 gallia 1st logan 2nd
182 gallia 1st logan 4th
195 gallia 1st logan 2nd
220 gallia 1st logan 2nd
285 gallia 1st logan 2nd.

so according to my calculations logan finishing 1st or second in 12 weight classes would score more points then gallia's 7 winners. so gallia either needs several bonus points or they need the 5 wrestlers i have not predicted to win their weight class to finish a little better then i have them placed. Or they need a couple of other teams to upset a couple of logan wrestlers. This looks to me like a tight gallia win or logan by a decent margin.

Scoring is 3-4-5-6 for all round robin rounds and then 14-10-7-4 placement points at the end. 0 points for byes.

Weigh-ins are now at 9:30 and wrestling will begin at 10:30 tomorrow.

So if there is only 2 wrestlers in weight class then only 14 and 10 points awarded and other teams get zero correct.

as i understand it it will be...with 2 wrestlers....14 and 10 placement, but the winner of the match will also get points on that match finish 3,4,5,or 6 according to how it was won. this will play a big role in round by round scoring....again how i understand it.

so if 2 wrestlers and the only match is won by pin it will be 20 pts for the winner and 10 for second. this could be big in full weight classes if the champion pins in all matches plus 14 placement for being champ

going over how i thought the weight classes would go and just taking a stab at pins and close matches. i came up with these totals.
logan 239
gallia 237
warren 141
jackson 120
chillicothie 96

there is not much doubt to me that gallia is the best all around team here but a week overall league and logan having a full roster will be hard to overcome.

From the TVC thread
Neil wrote:Glad to see that the TVC schools super's are willing to allow their wrestlers to travel in the snow in winter. One SEOAL school's super pulled the plug on us. Don't know when they think we are going to make this up? Tomorrow is the sectional seed meeting! Believe it, or not, it does snow in winter!
Is the SEOAL Canceled?

Chillicothe left at 5:30 and didn't get called until after 7:00.
Definitely a let down for the kids that cut weight and the parents that got up early to bring there kids in.
