Didn't Chilli have a scheduling issue regarding Miami Trace tourney, also? All about basketball.

Definitely a let down for the kids that cut weight and the parents that got up early to bring there kids in.
It is a 2-hour bus ride.

5:30 + 2 hours is 7:30, why get there 2 hours before weigh-ins.

absolutely ridiculous that the tournament was cancelled!!!!

There should not be any mathces the week of sectionals, when is this going to be re-scheduled.

Is tomorrow an option? I know sectional seeding is tomorrow also.

No word yet. Tomorrow may be an option. If we wait until Monday, it'll take two evenings to complete. Chilli and Jackson traveling to Warren two nights in a row?! It sucks no matter what!

I think unless you decide to do it awful quick if you do it tomorrow there should be some weight allowances given. I think decision would be made soon no matter when your going to do it. Kids plan for days to be at right weight at right time. I guess it is what it is. But over wrestling 2 weekdays i would rather see them cancel it with it being sectionals week also. And if it had to be on a week night could you do junior high one night and high school one night and get it all in. or would it still take to long.

Jackson's superintendant made the decision for the whole league? The rest of the league teams are held captive by one administrator? Why did he allow Jackson to host Warren in last nights basketball game? Players and fans driving back to Washington county late night at the height of the snow event but they couldn't travel today at the end of the snow event? The rest of the league teams should have participated regardless of Jackson's status.

Because the push back was never relayed to Chillicothe's AD evidently or he dropped the ball.

Both High School and Middle school teams were loaded up and on their way. Neither coach was notified of the change.

Never received an email either if there was one sent out.

The funny thing is Chillicothe went through Jackson, twice actually.

Hearing it is rescheduled for Monday. Is this for just High School or Middle School also?

SEOAL meet currently rescheduled for Monday @ Warren. Weigh-ins @ 4:00, wrestling starts @ 5:00. As far as I know there is no weight allowance. Middle School and High School will wrestle. Any changes or updates will be posted.

it seems to me there would have to be a weight allowance but i'm no expert on rules. But i think the rules state if a team cannot compete or practice do to weather 1 pound allowance given for each day. And are teams supposed to get together and practice on a Sunday. when most coaches will be at a seeding meeting. Seems to me there should be 2 lbs given but i don't know the rules and as long is it is the same for all participants it is fair. just does not seem correct.

Wonder if they will allow Middle school wrestlers weigh in at school, which is normally the case for weekday matches.

I'm suggesting 2 pounds.

Middle school wrestlers can weigh in at school just make sure a school administrator signs the weigh in sheet.

are they going to try to wrestle this all in one night. if they can put down 4 mats and keep it running i think they could make it done by 10 pm.

We can wrestle on 4 mats, but I don't think they contracted enough officials.

seoal83 wrote:Not knowing exactly how league tourney is scored it is sort of hard for me to pick a winner. I think it would be scored so that every weight class winner would earn the proximate same amount of points if he has 2 or 5 wrestlers in his weight class. The difference would be points for pins or tech falls but the distribution should be close i would think. with that being the case.
i have it
1. logan
2. gallia
3. warren
4. jackson
5. chillicothie

winners by weight class
106 warren cognolton
113 warren parsons
120 gallia tawney
126 logan vanbibber
132 logan scarberry
138 warren knotts
145 gallia bush
152 jackson barr
160 logan wotring
170 gallia taylor
182 gallia tackett
195 gallia shoemaker
220 gallia byus
285 gallia guissinger

so even with gallia winning 7 weight classes i have them coming up a little bit short because of following
gallia and logan placement by weight class.

106 logan 2nd gallia no wrestler
113 logan 2nd gallia no wrestler
120 gallia 1st logan 2nd
126 logan 1st gallia 4th
132 logan 1st gallia 4th
138 logan 2nd gallia 3rd
145 gallia 1st logan 2nd
152 logan 3rd gallia 4th
160 logan 1st gallia 3rd
170 gallia 1st logan 2nd
182 gallia 1st logan 4th
195 gallia 1st logan 2nd
220 gallia 1st logan 2nd
285 gallia 1st logan 2nd.

so according to my calculations logan finishing 1st or second in 12 weight classes would score more points then gallia's 7 winners. so gallia either needs several bonus points or they need the 5 wrestlers i have not predicted to win their weight class to finish a little better then i have them placed. Or they need a couple of other teams to upset a couple of logan wrestlers. This looks to me like a tight gallia win or logan by a decent margin.

Congratulations logan on a hard fought win. Really came down to one match. Gallia needed to finish one more match that they didn't get done. Plenty of opportunity they let slip by and logan capitalized. Hope everyone came out healthy and good luck at sectionals.
