Wow!!!!
What a week.......
These girls are class acts...........I hope everyone watched the game Saturday
on the internet. I am not sure if you can still watch it or not but I know everyone that had a cell phone was on it talking to fans back home. All the games were good games but Saturday was the best game in Tournament play the entire Regionals.
And to Beat Michigan of all States(GO BUCKS) was the icing on the cake.
To understand what these girls went through on Saturday you had to be there.
The girls had to arrive an hour and a half before the game time to get the field for their warm ups. The game started at 10:00. The game ran forever it seemed like.
The teams on the field behind us had at least an hour and a half to two hour rest before they faced us for the championship game.
Ali started the game knowing she had 10 innings she could pitch the entire day.
We pitched her for three innngs and brought Nikki in for the 4th, 5th, and 6th inning.
Ali came back in the 7th to finish the game.
Which we all know didn't end in seven innings.
So Ali stayed for the remaining innings which left her only one inning for our second and final game.
The girls didn't take their infield for the championship game so they could get something to eat because it had been 7am since we had fed them.
They ate while the District 11 team took infield and warmed up.
The girls at this point were ready to play again.
You have to remember we had already played this team earlier in the week and
only lost by one point and used several different pitchers for the game. So we knew we could win if we played good ball.
The game started with a home run hit over center field fence which set the pace for the District 11 Indiana team.
We did have an inning where we scored several points but couldnt keep the momentum going.
We then lost our starting catcher Chelsea Wall due to heat exhaustion and had
to put Abby behind the plate. Which then switched the entire field.
Needless to say the game was over and we had the loss.
These girls deserve so much more recognition than they got for this achievement.
Not only did they go all the way , they played a team that was runner up last year in the World Series. Yes this same Indiana ball club was one of the final teams last year in the series.
Great Job Girls!!
We made history!!!
This isn't this school or that school , it is bigger than that people.
It was the state of OHIO that these girls were representing.

(Ronnie has met his match) Way to go Ali YOU WON
See you at the FAIR

I am a very proud parent!!!!!
