peewee football
WHO HAS THE FAVORITE TEAM GOING INTO THEIR LEAGUES SEASON WHO DO YOU FEEL HAS THE BEST COACHES.
Re: peewee football
I'm not sure about the best team. It's a little early yet to be making predictions, signups aren't even done yet . In about two weeks I'll bet there will be lots of talk on this subject. I just want to tell all the teams in the teen ovc
GoodLuck!

JUST SEEING WHAT EVERYONE THINKS EARLY,TO COMPARE THEM LATER.PEOPLE USUALLY FORM AN EARLY OPINION OF WHAT THEY THINK THEIR LITTLE ONES WILL BE LIKE, AND HOW THEY WILL COMPETE.

Re: peewee football
If I was a betting person I would bet on the NY 5th and 6th graders to be a team to watch this year...... And of course they have awesome coaches... This was their first week of conditioning and they are sore but the boys will all tell you its just to Git R Done..... Good job to our coaches and all the guys that go out and volunteer their time to help all our boys become good players and good men......

Re: peewee football
heard that ironto will go back to the two teams it has had in the past, you can bet that they will be better than they have been the last couple of years.also heard they had a few kids to move in!the group from CG will compete as always, new coach same system!RH should have a good year although i heard that they don't have the numbers they usually do.i personally think that SV will be the sleeper in the teen o.v.c.they lost some great kids but have some good kids coming up!this all pertains to the a-team level little or no knowledge of the b-teams.

Re: peewee football
SV a sleeper? Haven't they won 2 of the last 3 B team Super Bowls and last year's A team Super Bowl? I don't think I'd call them a sleeper as much as I'd call them a favorite.

Re: peewee football
BWH,CAN'T CALL THEM A FAV,TO MANY GOOD KIDS GONE.I THINK YOU AND I BOTH KNOW THEY GOT GOOD KIDS COMING UP,BUT IT IS SURE HARD TO COUNT ON 5th GRADERS TO BE THE BIG DAWGS ON THE TEAM.WE'VE BOTH WATCHED THEM COME UP THROUGH THE SYSTEM,HARD TO SAY THAT IT ISN'T GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION,BUT I THINK WE WOULD HAVE TO STOP SHORT OF CALLING THEM ANYTHING BUT SLEEPERS?THEY CAN WIN IT AS EASY AS ANY OTHER TEAM IN THE LEAGUE,BUT I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT THEY WILL HAVE TO SLIP IN THE BACK DOOR.

Re: peewee football
So would RH be considered a favorite in the A team because of their B team title 2 years ago?

Re: peewee football
BWH, I CAN'T SAY THAT RH WOULD BE "THE FAVORITE" BUT IN MY OPINION, I DO THINK THAT RH, CG AND SV WILL BE THE MAIN CONTENDERS. I BELIEVE THAT IT'S UP IN THE AIR WITH THESE THREE TEAMS.
Re: peewee football
I believe that CG has about 5-6 returning starters this year and a lot of 6th graders to fill spots. Last year they were a young team with only a few 6th graders. It should be a good year for the grove. I am excited to see what practice looks like and to hear how the other teams are thinking they will be. Our previews are on August 30th this year at Ironton.
There will be plenty of time to get ready instead of just a couple of weeks like last year. I like the fact that everything was pushed forward . It will help out with the heat . Especially when your team wears black.

EVENT:
The Russell 5/6th grade team will host a GRID-O-RAMA on Aug. 16th at 10am. This will be a round-robin style of play with all teams being able to participate against everyone. The field will be divided into 3 fields going from sideline to sideline. This will allow 6 teams to be on the field at one time, there will also be a running clock of 15 minutes to end each session. Each team will be allowed 10 offensive plays then will switch to defense. After a complete session one team will move on to play the next team. Each team will be able to play 5 teams in one rotation. Teams who do not start on the field will be rotated in at the end of sessions. The event will continue until all teams have played each other to their satisfaction. Coaches will be on the field with their team.
ADMISSION: Gate admission will be $2 for adults and $1 for students. Children under 7 are free. Bring your chairs!! We do have bleachers but not enough for 14 teams.
CONCESSIONS: Our concession stand will be in full swing with water, gator-aid and pop along with hotdogs, hamburgers, nachos and candy.
ATTRACTIONS: There will be a PUNT-PASS and KICK competition for kids who played in the scrimmages. Each team will be able to have their kids compete in each division. Winners will receive a trophy for first place. For the younger kids and adults we will have INFLATABLES to have fun with.

Re: peewee football
Would love to see you guys come out tho this. I would like to see the local are teams play outside the state lines for a North-South Championship Bowl or something like that. Maybe name it the O.K. Bowl or more apparent the K.O. Bowl.
