Awesome! Great job Raiders. Maybe this will get them going into tournament time and the second half of the league.

Eastman hit a 40' shot at the buzzer it was 14 points most of the night!
9 turnovers that beats 20 last game great work put in by the coaches!
RV defense and press really bothered GA all night!

I ate my words big time. It actually tastes pretty good in this case. I lost faith in this team too early.

Way to go Raiders. I saw this team play my Hornets to the very end and lost by 1 to the Grove. I know the Raiders are a much better team then their record showed they just had to find a way to put teams away. This team hustles and looks as if they might be putting things together for tourny time.

Def RV side was packed.BLUE84n82 wrote:I'll take Gallia in a close one. A better question- who brings more fans?
Hardly a light crowd on the visitors side!

congrats to the coaching staff, players, and all fans who have stood behind them! hard work pays off!
Re: River valley @ GAHS
Congrats RV.... Missed last nights game but the outcome did not surprise me.... Any team that can press full court will give the Blue trouble... Not enough ball handlers or shooters..... Blue may not win another game this year, but hope I am wrong..... Blue could be in trouble in the upcoming years..... GAHS turning into a wrestling, baseball & softball school....LOL....
Re: River valley @ GAHS
Bball dude I told u last night but I need to again. We have done a lot of games this year and we don't see a lot of basketball players anymore. Your boy is. You can tell by his form and his shot he has put in hours of practice and he is definitely a player. I heard last night rv wasn't scheduling gallipolis anymore in boys bball? Is that true.

superblue.... I know what you mean seems all kids don't want to put in the time B-ball takes,I hate to see GA not be relevant in the SEOAL in most sports. They belong at the top, just how it should be.
Who9Dey.... Thanks!!! on his behalf he has spent lots of time working ,as parents we are so blessed that he is the type kid he is!
from hearing the ball hit the ground at 8am in the summer outside to shooting at midnight since he was in 3rd grade. With the injuries he had in 9th and 10th grade, just shows hard work does pay off. I really appreciate the time it took for you to write that (:!
I had not heard that but if its so it should be a crime, that place was electric last night, every kid who comes through both schools needs to sense that at least 1 time a year! One of the great rivalries in the area.

Agreed 100% RVdude.... Why would you not want to play this game? It has been a competitive game the last couple of years.... Wonder what the atmosphere would be if both teams had winning records??? AD's are always complaining about the lack of $$$$.... I say play this game twice a year and both teams will enjoy a little extra $$$$ for the programs..... Maybe some day we can meet on the gridiron again......

Probsbly because RV's gym can't hold the game because our genius leaders made it like an elementary gym, and Jordan doesn't want to have to play it away every year. It is a shame but I'm not surprised.superblue wrote:"I had not heard that but if its so it should be a crime, that place was electric last night, every kid who comes through both schools needs to sense that at least 1 time a year! I was told rv wasn't going to play it. This year was only the one time and next year it won't happen.
I never went to this game at rv but is it that bad out there when they play ga there?

I agree and disagree, I did not see ANY ball handlers sat. night for GA. While wrestling, baseball and softball have been successful in recent years, I think it is way too early in the game to discount the FOOTBALL team.superblue wrote:Congrats RV....
