I couldn't agree more. A great job of coaching by Brent and his staff.

WOW......where do I begin!

First, great game running the ball by Minford. They had a great group of backs and they were very aggressive in their running the ball. Minford definitely will be in that SOC race. IMO, the key to beating Minford....make them pass the ball! When they did have to pass (which wasnt very often) it was not pretty. Good luck to the Falcons the rest of the way...should be a playoff team IMO.

As for my Raiders......as a alum/supporter of RV since the beginning in 1992, it has always come down to one thing for me.....TACKLING! It's the same for the last 16 years! RV has got to learn to tackle. I dont know how many broken tackles and horrible attempts at tackles I saw last night. I know the coaches saw it, and I know that it WILL be addressed! Also the O-line and D-line.....they have got to get better. The D-line IMO has got to be more aggressive. They looked like they were just standing there....waiting for the Minford backs to come to them.

They were several bright spots for the Raiders....the opening drive was impressive, as well as the opening score on the TD pass. They also have some impressive running backs, they just need the blocking up front to move the ball more.

Next week it is on to Oak Hill (who shocked me in getting beat by Peake), and they Raiders will have to improve big time and bring their A-game. The Oaks QB (Slone) is one heck of a football player! Should be a good one!

Yes, thanks for the comments about our Stadium!! We are very proud of what we have, and work hard to maintain it!
I wish I could have played in a facility such as this when I was in Highschool.

If one team is quicker than the other, the slower team will look like they can not tackle. Not making excuses, just a fact.

Good Luck Raiders on the rest of the season!

After watching the game, I was very impressed with the line blocking and the running backs! The RBs ran with authority. Everytime I would see the RBs get trapped and hit they would still be driving their legs and getting loose. RV could not bring them down. This is all do to the commitment in the weight room. Minford looked fast and quick. QB looked strong getting out of a sure tackle when passing. All I see that they need to improve is the timing on the pass plays which will come. On Defense they need to work on the pass coverage on the tall WR. This will come also. # are up! I counted 60 on the team. I have never seen Minford so deep at RBs. The back-up QB also played well. The crowd at the game was packed on the homeside, not many seats left. I like the attitude of this team, They are showing they expect to win and not just compete.

MarshallMan I agree with your opinions of the game ecspecially about the running backs, they might not be the biggest RB's you've ever seen but they sure run like they are. I also appreciated, as a fan and former player, the attendance at Fridays game, I remember when I played that we would feed off the crowd and it would help with momentum shifts and things of that nature. I sure hope to see alot of fans up in Wellston this week. I believe that Minford is what people have talked them up to be and that they will compete at a very high level for the SOC title this year. My only issue right now is with the strength of schedule, but that will come once these others schools realize that our program is headed in the right direction and we are not 1 year wonders.
