East Football

Post by thegrid »

Hey, Tartan Fans I read through these comments of how good East is going to be and I do agree with you all, however it is rare that I see that Hood boy's name, as I recall last season wasn't he the one that at the last possible seconds of a game made an incredible tackle to stop the kid from scoring, wasn't he the one that made numerous catches and some runs (when given the ball) that were a great help to the team. He seems to be your quiet very dependable level headed player that is always there when needed. I think this kid deserves alot more credit than he gets. I know it takes a team to win but when a kid deserves a mention hey he should get it

Hood did do a great job for the Tartans last year at Wideout, He did make some big catches for the Tartans and some nice plays on defense. I think one reason you haven't seen his name on here is because of people not knowing where he will actually play this season whether it be WR again or QB as he was the backup QB last year and got some snaps. I think once people find out where he will play he will get mentioned a little more.

He is also a good defensive player made numerous tackles to prevent touchdowns last season.2 years ago tackled Oak Hill player on two yard line right before half to prevent tie score, tipped ball in final seconds for Mault to intercept to prevent a tie game in end zone of Oak Hill.As I remember this clinched the SOC championship for that year.

FYI Larry Hall was the defensive coach for Burg the year they held Parker,Portsmouth running back 92-93,one of the best in the state to 10-20 yards total with Burg winning. So he is an all rounded coach.East should have an excellent season with their talent and coaching staff.

Larry Hall is the worst coach i've ever saw........the only reason he won at the burg was because he had talent...

Wow. That is quite a statement. I dont think he is as good as advertised, but I woud bet that you have never coached so it is easy for you to throw rocks at people.

And I'm going with you are from Northwest since he couldn't save your program like every other coach they hire every 2-3 years.

^^^^^^^ LOL...wow, some constructive criticism there!! ^^^^^^^

All I know is that Northwest football is probably not the best program to gauge one's coaching ability at. Vince Lombardi would have trouble winning out there.*

Yup, actually I am rolling laughing at that statement they are going to run it down East's throat especially with two all state players back on defense. Right up the middle.
