I was wondering if it is the same guy who transferred from Ironton to Huntington as a Froshmen last year, I believe he started as Huntingtons point guard last year.
The sophmore that everyone is speculating about is Malcolm Morton and he is at Ironton. He plays AAU with another Ironton kid and that is the reason he is here. Becasue of AAU this happens at many schools and whether it is right or wrong is a matter of opinion, but that is how it happens. Ironton benefits some years and loses in others. As far as whether Coach Lafon was recruiting other coaches that may have been under contract... I am not sure why it matters if Coach Lafon was trying to "recruit" another coach, whether they were under contract or not. That is not something that the OHSAA forbids, so I'm not sure why you even think it is an issue. Sounds to me like it would be beneficial to the Ironton kids if he wanted another experienced coach on his staff. It must be a personal issue with Lafon that I am sure you could discuss with him!

I could see Tommy Waginger (sophomore) getting some playing time on the varsity team. He is an excellent 3 point shooter and can contribute in other areas as well.

I agree, he's an outstanding player and a great shooter.

I thought Michael graduated this past May. Could you be referring to his younger brother, Malcolm?
Right, Malcolm Morton was a freshman at Huntington last year who saw limited varsity minutes. His brother Michael was a senior at Huntington last year.

I've heard alot of good things about Malcom Morton, heard He is talented enough to be competing for the starting position at Point Guard, good ball handler with the ability to dribble penetrate, very quick.

The transfer from hunington is a very good ball player from what i have heard. He will most likely run the point this year.
