Re: State Legion pairings, results
So 3 out of the 4 teams in the winner's bracket drew a first round bye and only played one game yesterday.

Yep, that's the way it went yesterday baseballfan61. The teams that won yesterday at 9:30 a.m. had to come back and play again at 7:30 p.m.

Re: State Legion pairings, results
Some of the 9:30 a.m. winners actually then had to play at 2 p.m. on Monday.
Rain has set in, although it has slacked up a little right now, so it looks doubtful that any games
will be played today unless they could get in one at the Athens High field later in the day.

Re: State Legion pairings, results
Bama, that is a shame. Let's face it, it is not a big deal for the kids physically to play twice, but mentally, at the State level, it is hard to ask a team to go out and beat 2 number 1 pitchers in the same day. Good luck to you guys the rest of the way!
Re: State Legion pairings, results
I agree. In fact, as a player I would rather play at 2pm instead of 7:30pm because of the mental part and the down time. I hated down time in between games. Physically, no problem, getting the mind set again for everyone is what is hard.

Re: State Legion pairings, results
Is their any official update for tomorrow's schedule?
If anyone has this information please post. I want to go up on Wednesday morning if Post 23 is playing at 9:30 a.m. I read on the other site that there are two games being played this evening at 5:00 and 8:00 but Portsmouth is not involved in either game. That would probably bump them up to a 9:30 a.m. start on Wednesday
Thanks

The Worthington/Pickerington game was moved back to 11:30 am due to field conditions. As of 9:30, the other games are on as scheduled.
