Chesapeake vs. Fairland (SJI) 1/21/12 9pm.

Just over two weeks removed from their first matchup in which Chesapeake won by 3 the Rivalry Continues! What a way to close out the the great history of the Field House, Chesapeake vs. Fairland. I couldn't think of a better way! This is scheduled as the last basketball game to be played at the Field House. Another Highly anticipated match up between these two teams. I ate my crow last game as i predicted a 25+ point win by the Panthers. In the last game Fairland played the best the possibly could have IMO and still came up short. Now we are at the Field House and I look for the Panthers to defend their title and I see the reigning SJI MVP Austin Mcmaster to have a great game and make up for his dismal performance in the first meeting!

IMHO i think FHS has played Peake the best that they could already this season and came up short. I think Peake wins this gam by anywhere from 10-15 points. I think Fairland has an Outstanding team but when Chesapeake gets rolling they look like a well oiled machine that cant be stopped.

After seeing Peake play they aren't as strong inside as last year,their big guys play outside.
I think McMaster is a tough match up for Fairland or anyone.

... wish I was in the "neighborhood" to get to see this one ! - should be a great contest between 2 very good basketball teams ... both play the solid defense, both can turn up the pressure - they have that extra gear on defense ... Offensively one counts on the inside post play, getting to the rim , the other on perimeter scoring AND getting to the rim from the perimeter ... should be a Great show!!! Best of luck to both TEAMS ...

Another great game between two rivals! 5 point game at 2 min mark of 4th qt. Eric Kennedy was 10 for 10 at the foul line in 4th with 8 in last 2 min.

The clutch three pointer by McMaster took the wind out of the Dragons and the student section (which was awesome for the tourney). Kennedy's ice cold demeanor at the foul line was awesome to watch. Once again a great game to watch. This should lock the Panthers up for the #1 seed in the Jackson sectional. Congrats to both teams on an outstanding way to send off the Veterans Memorial Fieldhouse. It was also announced this tourney will continue on next year at the Big Sandy Civic Arena in Huntington. The threematch will be another awesome game to watch.
