Re: Week 1 ~ Gallia Academy @ Athens
Watch out for my weekly perdictions for all SEOAL games by the sallen of the swamp. In honor of a good old buddy!
Re: Week 1 ~ Gallia Academy @ Athens
^^^^^^^^^^^^^ When is the last time you have seen this much Chieftain Envy. Actually GAHS I understand.
Actually i am glad you asked if i am ever right.
1. i predicted last year and the year before Logan would win the league. Guess i had that right.
2. I predicted among other games that Logan would handle Gallia and ironton EASY last season. I was correct.
3. I said I did not believe in the Gallia defense after it manhandled the VC offense last year. Gallia was basically defenseles last year. It looked good due to poor scheduling. Scheduling teams you can beat without challenge. So sad. It just gives the kids false hope.
Heck that is only three. I would say you don't want to see all the times I have been correct.
Their is no feigned superiority when it comes to the SEOAL. Logan has won 4 consecutive titles and DOMINATED the new and improved version of the SEOAL. i am thinking your Chieftain Envy is so bad you can't make a good post any longer.

OK i think 2old is trying to drive off all local support for logan football.Im starting to think he's not even a logan fan.Maybe he just needs someone to tell him how proud they are of him and what he gets done on friday nights
Re: Week 1 ~ Gallia Academy @ Athens
Just another poster^^^^^ who needs help. If you want to see Chieftain support come to the opening game Friday night.

In the short period of time that i have been a poster on this site i have realized one thing;2 OLD KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT EVERY PROGRAM THAT GETS MENTIONED ON THIS FORUM.I WISH I HAD JUST A SMALL AMOUNT OF HIS KNOWLEDGE ON ALL THE LOCAL PROGRAMS!

Re: Week 1 ~ Gallia Academy @ Athens
I would like to extend my welcome as well. If you think 2old is bad, apparently you have not read any of Sports Junkie's post. Haven't heard anything from him/her lately but come Logan/Ironton time, you can bet he'll be out in full force. To give what I think is an accurate analogy of 2old: He is kind of like a poorly litter trained house cat. We Logan posters really love him and occasionally like to give him a pet to make him feel good, but the mess he sometimes leaves on the carpet really just makes you want to throw him outside.
BTW, just to somewhat stay on topic, I still think The Blue Devils will roll ove Athens come Friday night.

Re: Week 1 ~ Gallia Academy @ Athens
Well, I'm a Logan fan and I hate the fact we open with Lancaster. I'd rather have a couple of games under my belt before we face what is arguably the toughest game on our schedule. I think that would have helped us immensely last year, though it may not have changed the outcome.

2old, I'm not cloudy, I have no interest in Logan football other than for you to explain the 1978 season. See I went to Loganfootball.com and didn't understand what happened in 1978, 0-1-1.

Re: WK 1 Gallia Academy @ Athens
GAHS,
Let's see. You take the time to count my posts on topics and you think i have a problem. It does prove my point. You can not post on Football. Maybe you should be a social commentator. Of course with that schedule Gallia has you won't be seeing much good football.

Explain it to me. I thought I read somewhere about a strike, was this a teachers strike or what?

All B.S., no facts!
Logan isn't D1. Logan is D2.
This league has 4 Division 2 teams, 2 Div. 3 team, and 3 D4 teams. Sounds to me like if anyone doesn't fit it's the 3 smaller teams.
The OCC wouldn't take Logan for the same reason they would have eventually kicked out Chillicothe. The Columbus suburbs are adding 1-2 schools a year, and they are sick of traveling outside of I-270. Marysville, Newark, and Lancaster are about hte only exceptions!
A better fit for Logan MIGHT be the MSL Ohio with Hamilton Twp, Teays Valley, and Canal Winchester, but they seem pretty happy right now and aren't looking for expansion.
Now THERE are some facts.
I suppose this should be another thread but finally someone has said something I have thought all along. Logan (and Chillicothe) would be a good fit in the MSL. Get over the tradition (SEOAL) and get on with it!
dazed&confused,
First the MSL (Buckeye) would have to drop two teams, unless the MSL-Buckeye wants to expand to a 10 team format with two divisions, adding a Chillicothe and Logan from the SEOAL.
South
Chillicothe D3
Amanda Clearcreek D4
Circleville D3
Circleville Logan Elm D3
Ashville Teays Valley D2
North
Columbus Hamilton TWP D2
Canal Winchester D3
Lancaster Bloom Carroll D4
Bremen Fairfield Union D3
Logan D2
But you know what? I can't see but maybe one or two teams in the MSL-Buckeye wanting to, or have the guts to let either SEOAL Team in their League.
What say you?
GO CAVS
GO SEOAL
Back to the topic, should be a great game between the The Plains Athens Bulldogs from the TVC-Ohio D3 and the The Gallipolis Gallia Academy Blue Devils from our SEOAL D4 out at The Plains Football Field.
Good LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS.
