This is definitely not a gimme. Vinton County needs to help their own cause by winning the first two games on the schedule, because then they have Jackson at Jackson, and Waverly at home. Coach Yates will have them prepared. Good Luck, Vikings.

Here's a prediction. Same old Unioto. VC BIG and I mean really big. Administration at Unioto continues to be a joke and its a shame because the kids deserve a chance to compete but are continually denied that chance because of the way that school and football program are run.

I have to agree. You have to feel for the Unioto Shermans. The school is a big D4 school almost D3 level. They have the numbers, don't really know why. The administration has caused problems for the football program out there. They have had so many head coaches as of late, it's sad. I wish the Shermans the best this season.

VC whacks a sorry UHS team.......no jealousy here from Cavland... CHS would and will sweep the Shermans in varsity boys baseball, football ( if we played ) and basketball (if we play ) 2 maybe 3 would be totally embarrasing..... no contest ......

bengalfan76.........There is a problem at Unioto. My guess is, you are part of it. You answered your own question. The fact that the adminstation hired and supports this staff is part of the problem. None of these people would be coaching if they didn't have someone of interest in the program. These people are parents, not coaches. But, they have friends on the board. The Supt. gives the board what they want. Kids have to pay the price for this situation. It is very sad. The real problem is, I don't see changes coming anytime soon. Unioto has great kids. Plus, they are the biggest school in the SVC. They have had some good coaches. That's why they win in all the other sports. It is a joke, it's just not funny.

If we were talking any other sport I would say unioto. But since we are talking Football, VC by as much as they want.

But I will say GL to the shermans this year and hope you can pull off at least 1 or 2 wins.

Hope things are getting fixed there, and someone kept the Admin out of football this year.

Great first post but you are wrong I am not part of that problem. lol
I am as frustrated as you obviously are.
I took my oldest out of Unioto because of it.
