iron man,
you may be right about 99. i know they beat north adams handily during the regular season and got upset in the tournament. the wildcat faithful were unhappy because kennedy wouldn't play zone defense. when he went to ripley he played zone some of the time when he played whiteoak.
from 97 to 07 whiteoak had quite a run with a lot of talented players. if the current junior group continues to improve they could get the ball rolling again.

Whiteoak has a talented junior group to say the least. The sophomore class has a few players...after that it's not loaded again until the 5th and 6th grade group gets old enough.

2001

Whiteoak to the regionals....not sure who they beat

2000

Whiteoak to the districts....not sure who they beat

1999

Whiteoak beat Clay 104-51?.....then played SHL North Adams

In the past 13 years Whiteoak has faced either Manchester or Fairfield OR hammered an SOC 1 team.....

How long has it been since Notre Dame, Green, Clay, New Boston or East has made it to the regionals....or even to the district finals in a year where 1 SE District team went to the regionals.

No problem posting this stuff but putting in how many whiteoak beat teams by in 2005-6 and then just saying defeated by SW in district finals is pretty funny. Whiteoak was absolutely destroyed by SW in that game. I am pretty sure it was by around 40 and it wasnt even that close.

In 2000 Whiteoak beat Eastern Pike by 12 or so in the District Final

I don't really see that it matters what teams have done in past seasons but what they are doing this season as far as where they should be seeded.

The past shows that Whiteoak/Manchester/Fairfield and often South Webster take turns knocking each other out.....while the SOC 1 schools give each other the very best chance to get to the district semis.

Yes, in 2006 the state champion South Webster Jeeps destroyed Whiteoak in the district finals.....Whiteoak with all rotation players from elementary up were far and away the second best team in the district.

Those 4 teams play superior schedules and never get credit for it in the seeding at Valley....and won't again this year.

Ironman92, you not only wasted 15 minutes of your life, but the rest of ours reading it as well. Also, some of your "facts" are off. Many of the SOC I schools have made district finals appearances in the past decade. Also to suggest that Eastern Pike and Symmes Valley from the other sectional have not represented well in the tournament is ridiculous. Throw out New Boston and Notre Dame and all of the SOC I schools have had some tournament success, especially relative to their size/situations. This district has also had North Adams and Peebles in it on several occasions, and Western use to be in the SHL. What about in those years? Were the SOC coaches slinging the majority vote around then too?

You have displayed your unwaranted hatred against the soc schools for years now. It's grown quite old, and is really sort of sad. How do you think the teams should have been seeded last year? There have been some occasions where SHL coaches have conspired in seeding just like you cry the SOC coaches have. What about Manchesters down years in the middle of the decade, (04-07 or so) why not include some of those tourny scores. Whiteoak also had a few quick tourny exits in that period as well. In some of those years nearly any or all of the teams in a sectional would want to play a team that was "down".

I could easily type a list showing that team x played team y in all of these different years. You fail to acknowledge that in some of those years team x really wanted to play team y because team y wasn't any good and had already been beat by team x twice by an average of 30 points. In a few of those years Manchester and Fairfield were down and were playing in a sectional-semi just to have a chance to play a top seeded team (which happened to be Whiteoak in some instances). I'm sure Whiteoak was really crying foul in those situations.

Your comment about the TVC at least representing well in the tournament ( I guess compared to the SOC) is also humoring. With a few of those teams mentioned, I guess making one or two Convo appearances in the last decade is considered representing well.

Compare the SOC 1 schools that go to Valley versus the TVC. See what you get in the last 5 or ten years.

Eastern and Symmes have been fine....but they go to the other site. No hate of any kid or school....just how those coaches work together, but the district big shots that won't change how it is done. It's not equally fair to each team in D4. EP will never get a tie-breaking vote in their sectional.

My stance on this won't change unless all teams are seeded as they should be with consideration of schedule....it's a district thing. The SVC is just as bad at Waverly...TVC as well....SEOAL at Logan. Why are we the only district that does this? It's stupid.

Ironman, if you have time why dont you look up (hell I might do it) the head to head record of the SHL vs any SOC 1 school in tournament play over the last decade or so.

I'm not sure I would like to see this one. Western will have to be considered SOC from the 02-03 season until present and SHL for any previous years.
