But the lack of tourney and big game experience worries me and as we well know Oak Hill has plenty of that! But so far so good these girls have anwsered the bell everytime they have been challenged!
i thought the very same thing when fairland went to columbus to play delaware hayes-they are a div 1 team and had a very deep bench-but fairland played great against them and were very comfortable there.i think that says alot...stapleton has played against oakhill before when she played her freshman yr at stjoe(huntington) the difference is shannon lewis didnt use the huge size difference in the post believe me jon buchannaon will not make that mistake.

I wish Fairland nothing but the best but, to set the record straight we (athens) scrimmaged The Dragons. The post above implied that they beat us---I'm not sure a team can claim a win in a scrimmage where you are looking at different combinations and defenses. None the less your having a great year---good luck the rest of the way.

my comment about the grades was a general comment for all of basketball. You have to have the grades to play. I think Fairland consistantly has a very high GPA average for their girl's teams across the board.

Considering Oak Hill's sole loss this year came from the Div 2 #1 team by 8 points that averages 30+ point wins, I'd be hesitant to make bold predictions against an Oak Hill team thats lost 5 games in four years. 2 reg season, 2 state final games and an elite 8 game. Very few area teams plays the non-conference schedule Oak Hill does.

actually hayes is good(not a powerhouse) they have a deep bench and rotated girls in and out at will and still played with consistancy....the teams in div1 that they have lost to are all good. hayes would beat the div3 schools that ive seen so far this season.the only school in all div in ohio that is a powerhouse as far as playing on a national level would be twinsburg-who is excellent:)

Are we sure the game against oak hill is at big sandy? Isn't Ron White going to be there that day?

Ron White is going to be there Feb. 4. Lady Antebellum is going to be there the night before. Huntington Prep's website has info about the Tri State Hoops Classic Feb., 3, 4 and 5. The schedule is listed, admission costs, etc. The tournament site is listed as Barboursville Middle School.
