Not outright just yet! They play the Lady Pointers Thursday--who's only loss in the OVC is the Dragons. So, if they Pointers pull an upset it will be a tie! And correct me if I'm wrong, but the Lady Pointers have gave Fairland their best game all year? 54(56)-50? A fight right down until the buzzer! Looking forward to Thursday!

You are right. The score of the Fairland/South Point game was 54 - 50. It was a good game. South Point led most of the game. They managed to hold Stapleton to 18 points but failed to stop Fulks from hitting 3's! I believe Fulks had 20 points in that game.

whoa, I feel like I am having flashbacks. Are you sure that your daughter didn't play for Ironton last year?

Just let your daughter's play do the talking every once in awhile. She is pretty darn good, I don't think she needs you coming over before the game is over to the Oak Hill side to check the score book.

The title should be "Is Stapleton Stoppable?" Stop her and I think you can beat the Dragons. Fulks is a good athlete but streaky shooter.

The key to beating Fairland is containing Stapleton. However, the question is how does a team contain her? She has frequently beat double and triple teams this season. The only way I see a team slowing her down is by getting her into foul trouble early which can be done because she has an aggressive style of play.

Oak Hill was the only team during the regular season that had a chance to beat Fairland. Fairland shot an extremely high percentage during the first half of Saturday's game which is where the lead was established. It was a totally different game in the second half. With that being said, I think if those two teams meet again in tournament play, the final score will be a lot closer.

So are the Dragons stoppable? Yes, they are just like any other team in the state, especially come tournament time.

Easy there on saying Oak Hill was the only team with a chance. I am pretty sure Oak Hill was down the entire game & lost by 14. South Point was ahead the whole game and lost in the final 2 minutes by 4. They contained Stapleton and held her to 18 points, but Fulks played exceptionally well and almost every shot she took. Chesapeake even played Fairland better than Oak Hill did. Trust me on that, I've been at all of the games.

yes we as in any other team can be beat...no team is perfect and no team shoots light out every game.we have been practicing very hard and after practices my daughter continues working on her own. i look forward to playing oakhill again and yes im sure they will be better prepaired for us-i look forward to it:)

we will probably never see this but if southpoint plays Oakhill southpoint will win 10+. they have absolutely no answer for mitchell. Our best defender (riley) with the help of tara really can't stop her. Oakhill is a shooting team and that's about it... FHS plays SP tomorrow at home for senior night! lets go green!!!

Obviously fhsstudentsection has not paid much attention the last few years. Oak hill has played South Point the last 5 plus years minus this year because South point did not want to play any more. Mitchell was a part of the last 3 years of that game and South Point won 0 of them.
