Technically right now Burg is 1 in the conference. However, Waverly and Minford still have a conference game. I know Waverly does for sure, but I'm not positivie if Minford has another one left to play or I just don't have the scores on a game.

We had Wheelersburg 9 shots six were on goal. Webster's keeper had six saves. Wheelersburg 5 saves. Burg took 4 corner kicks Webster 5. Many of Websters shots were long. Burg very seldoom outsoots their compitition they will wait for the better shots.
Webster looked like they were playing for the tie. Counting the keeper they usually had eight people back on defense. Wheelersburg played the last 20 minutes with only three defenders and pushed the ball.
Overall the game was played even. Websters field does helps even the sides.

I guess your book keeper can argue with ours about it.

I think Burg was lucky to get out of there with a tie. I guess you will deny that your keeper made a great save in the 2nd half that would have been the game winner. Webster played a great game offensively & defensively and I can assure you they were not just playing for a tie - that's just the way it went.

Webster plays a style of soccer where the team will push forward so they have about 6 on offense (2 forwards & 4 mids) and those same midfielders get back on defense (4 mids + 4 def. So I guess you are right they had at least 8 on defense. That's called good soccer in my book.

Keegan - I think Minford has already played west twice (8/28 W 9-0, & 9/18 W 7-1). I think it is New Boston that still needs to play West along with Waverly. That puts Minford 10-2 and at the top currently.

yea, waterboy who would think you should play soccer on a soccer field. Webster playing soccer on a soccer field has to be an advantage.

If either keeper would have missed a shot on goal it would have been the game winner. Good teams have keepers that make saves.

Wheelersburg could not have been any closer to the championship. Two one goal losses and a tie. One more goal in any of these games and they would have a share.

I understand that South Webster played without on of their better players because of injury, Adam Rice. He's one of their better scorers and assists leaders.

Sounds like a well-played game between Webster and Burg. Wasn't there so I can't comment on whether Webster was playing for a tie. But looking at shots on goal, I'd presume Webster pushed up at times.

I'd assume Burg will get the #1 seed with the quality victories over Minford and Waverly. Assuming both teams win their first game, would a Sectional Championship game between Webster and Burg be played at Burg, or at a neutral site?*

Art, tell us about the jeeps team alittle like where the different players play, how bad is the injury to the rice boy. When will he be back. Didn't Wheelersburg also lose to Waverly and Minford???

ongoal, can you tell me what game I'm missing.

I have victories over: Burg, Waverly, Webster, Valley, Clay, New Boston, Northwest x 2, and one victory over West.

The game I would be missing is one of the West games.
