Eastern @ Notre Dame 1/20

Let the talk begin, last game was decided by 2 points in the final second by a foul that lead to 2 made free throws.

Eastern travels to ND and what could be the deciding factor in the SOC 1 conference. Eastern has no losses in SOC 1 play, ND with 1 loss (by Eastern). Eastern is coming off a win over a bad Western team and ND with their victory over Symmes @ Symmes. Notre Dame is playing great basketball and should be an exciting game, and hopefully the referees allow the teams to play and let their play decide the game (without getting out of hand of course).

I'm going with Notre Dame by 8 points. They have only gotten better since their first meeting and Coach Mader has his team in control and looking for their first SOC title in over 25 years. Keeping the tempo up will favor Notre Dame, limiting turnovers will be a major factor for both teams.

Hard to believe no one has anything to say for either teams. This very well could be the deciding factor in the SOC.

I agree that I hope the refs allow the players to decide the contest. I was told the first meeting was played more like "rugby" which gives an advantage to the strong kids from Notre Dame. If the game is called in such a way that the Titans can't bump, push, hold, grab, throw, and elbow are all called fouls (which they are).....then I say Eagles by 5.

If the refs allow the above, Titans by 5.

I will be pulling for the Eagles! A win would definately put Eastern in command of the League. If Notre Dame wins, a tie for the title might be in the works.

Maybe all of you have forgotten that basketball is a contact sport. Notre Dame is just tough, and physical. Nothing dirty, or cheap. They just play hard. It's a physical game, and ND plays that to their advantage.

My point exactly. Nothing wrong with physical play...but a foul is a foul. If Notre Dame can not foul as I specified above what I meant by that (pushing, holding,etc) then I will take the Eagles. If Notre Dame gets by with fouling and it is not called, I will take the Titans.

Physical play is good. Fouling to gain an advantage that goes uncalled....not good. That is not an advantage that any team should have?

For some reason Eastern has cancelled tonight's game vs Notre Dame. I haven't heard anything else.

The game has been set for Saturday, February 11th. The game will be a triple header still.

This should be an instant classic imo..I like ND to get the W at home in a close one..
