First let me say that he doesn't have a lot to pick from. There is only 1 senior on the team, no juniors, the rest are Sophs and Freshman. This is a JV team for the most part, so we played even with them in the second half against their subs. He is playing Freshman? girls up front (and some boys that aren't ready as well)where they are just not physical enough to play against the stronger boys. Clay gets very few opportunities to score and needs to have their best 4 boys up front and their 4 strongest players in the back. The younger, inexperienced players need to rotate in and out of midfield. He is giving everyone a lot of playing time, but will have to sit some kids down to win at varsity level. Equal playing time works in U15 but it won't win you HS games. With that said, I don't think he had a team he could have put on the field to beat SW. When he gets his 2 exchange students, things may change. The boy from Brazil I hear is a good midflielder. The Puerto Rican boy is supposed to be 6 ft, 180 pounds and that is something they lack. They will take playing time away from someone, but kids will have to accept that as a challenge to get better.
Take this for what its worth, but from the sounds of it, you're not going to scrore many goals with this team, and frankly...you're not going to stop many goals either...
You either have to load the "o" or load the "d". its a gamble either way, you can load the "o"and score 2 goals, but then give up 7...or load the "d" and give up 2 or so, and hope that you can somehow score a couple. you have to adjust to the team that you have, you cant just even out the talent with a team like this, if you want to be competitive, that is. you have to remeber that this is a young team, however, they still play a tough schedule...sw twice, burg, waverly, nb twice, minford.
By no means do I have any right to critique by any means, but with a schedule like that, I want to atleast make these games somehwhat competitive...Load the "D", its only a theory...but if you dont let them score...you cant lose.

Has Jackson improved a lot since the preseason? An injury-depleted Waverly squad destroyed Jackson in a srimmage earlier this season...
Any details on this Match? Did Chilli not play well despite the win or has Jackson really improved?
