Hope things turn out well for Mr. Talbert. Kevin Wiseman, my colleague at The Athens Messenger, at their press time, reported that he was getting x-rays for a dislocated ankle. Of course, that news can change for better or worse but hopefully the better.

I went up to the hospital last night to see Mr. Talbert he is a tough young kid, but unfortunatly it took a cruel twist a fate, he has torn ligaments and a chipped bone and its gonna require reconstructed surgery and a pin in his ankle and the doc said that he will be out no questions asked 8-12 weeks maybe longer when he heads up to columbus and the surgen finds something. He has worked hard all summer and winter long, and everytime i talked to him he was always excited to get back out there with the group of boys that have done so well in the past with 23 seniors, Yes they have lost a key player.I asked talbert last night what he was gonna do, and in his response was "Im gonna pull through this, and help my team mates out i have worked hard for a long time to get where i am, but so has my team, i can only wish them the best, and ill be there behind them every game, next week is a big game, they'll be there physically but hopefully they'll be there mentally as well". Your in a prayers Talbert, Long Live The Thunder..

That's exactly what I would have expected Zach to say. He is a quality young man that will still be a leader for this team. I pray his surgery goes well and he makes a complete recovery.
