Re: looking at the D-4 tourney ..
Well, its not like South Gallia is chump change or anything ...
The Rebels are (11-3) and have non-conference wins of:
South Gallia - 55
Symmes Valley - 16
South Gallia - 48
Gallia Academy - 46
South Gallia - 53
Sciotoville - 36
(Only losses to Eastern, Waterford and @ Belpre)

Like I always say, that's why we play the games...on any given night a team can go on a run, and if u r going to go on a run, tournament time is when you do it..as for the non conference wins, two of them I wouldn't put on there as a measuring stick. That's why I like the tournament, love an underdog.

Re: looking at the D-4 tourney ..
tropper --eastern will prob make it but the attitude of " you can write it down in ink instead of pencil" is foolish and a jab at all the other teams in the district. last season two weeks before the tourney Eastern (with two 1000 pt scorers) was beating us 32-4 on OUR OWN HOME FLOOR and beat us by 40 or something like that. Two weeks later we beat them and led in that game from start to finish, or at least 90% of the game . sometimes big fav's have letdowns , sometimes teen's read their own newspaper clippings, thats what makes the tourney great. congrats to SG on the nice win. was that game at eastern ? Re: looking at the D-4 tourney ..
went back and read the comments from page one and some on page two --- do you like your crow with salt/pepper or both ? , lol MD
Re: looking at the D-4 tourney ..
Salt and pepper with a little hot sauce please. Well IMO Eastern will still be in District final vs. Waterford. South Gallia must have played the game of their life and maybe Eastern was off? Or did SG just out play them? Congrats to SG. This will make the game at SG vs. Belpre a huge game. Well if you want to call a battle for 3rd a huge game. But also Sectional seatings. We will see. Keep us posted.

Not just a battle for third ssbball ... If South Gallia wins (and wins out) they tie for 2nd with Eastern.
South Gallia (11-3)(8-3)
Eastern (9-4)(8-3)
(Hey, runner-up in the TVC-Hocking sounds a lot better than 'we finished 3rd in the league' ... lol)

Re: looking at the D-4 tourney ..
Belpre is going to spoil South Gallia's tie for second. Anyone at the Eastern-SG game care to share what happened? SG have a good gameplan? Eastern come out cold and soft?

If they are only taking 2 teams from the meigs sectional what seeds will play what seeds since there is 11 teams

Re: looking at the D-4 tourney ..
From what is explained to me this year out of the 21 teams combined (northwest/Meigs sectional) only one team is getting advanced to district. So if I under
Stand it correctly the winner of the northwest sectional will play the winner of Meigs to advance to the district. Instead of mtg at the district tourney. So this sectional is really a 21 team sectional, and from what I hear we r the only area being done that way..
So I guess ND/Clay vs Waterford/Eastern Reedsviile sectional championship game? I am just basing this on records, so don't jump on the schools I typed, cause I know anything can happen.

4 teams make it to the district jeepnow ... Northest #1 vs Meigs #2 ... Northest #2 vs Meigs #1 ... Winners play each other for the district championship & right to go to the regionals.
