I know the TVC-Ohio needs another win over the SEOAL ... We havn't faired too well this year versus the bigger league ... Athens over Jackson might be the only win?

I'm still scratching my head over that Bulldog win and in Jackson at that.

To beat Jackson, the Rockets will not only need Courts and Craig to have good games, they will need a big game from all other players as well. Jackson has a good team and are, IMO, a little underated. The Rockets will need to keep Chapman in check which will be tough to do, keep Luke E. of the boards and limit Alex R. to just one or two 3 pointers. If the Rockets accomplish this then they may have a chance to slip out of Rio with the win.

Sounds like the Ironmen made it interesting in the 4th quarter. Tough loss after losing a pretty close game at Warren on Saturday as well.

Wellston was up 14 with 4 minutes left and Jackson started pressing. Wellston turned it over 4 or 5 straight times I believe. Jackson had a shot to tie the game in the closing seconds but didn't connect. Congrats Rockets! 6-2.

Jackson had a couple chances to tie it but came up short on a 3 and another time got fouled and shot free throws.

Wellston played better. Wellston played better as a team. Wellston was more pumped to beat Jackson than Jackson was to beat Wellston.

Wellston has a pretty good team, congrats on the win and good luck. Pretty touching as each announced Wellston starter went and hugged Coach Derrow's wife before the game.

Jackson will bounce back....a killer Portsmouth team comes to Jackson Friday.

Jackson is average at best. That is how the Bulldogs beat them in Jackson. They are predictable and easy to guard. Athens also beat Gallia, who beat Logan, while Logan beat Athens, and Athens beats Jackson on the road and loses to Logan at home while Logan got blasted at Jackson. None of that comparative scoring ever makes any sense.They are teenagers so who can make sense of them LOL. Nelsonville beats Athens at Athens, and loses at Logan. Go figure, who knows, other than that Coach Helber is very successful against the TVC. :12223 :12223 :12223

After watching Jackson play last, I concur with your statement "They are predictable and easy to guard". They pretty much ran the same couple of plays all night. Not to take anything away from the Wellston team, they all played a great game. I thought Austin Craig had one of his best games. He's really starting to come around offensively and has been playing with a lot of confidence. IMO - Wellston's strong defensive effort and rebounding was what won this game for them. Have to give credit to Jackson though, there was no quit in their boys last night and they made it pretty interesting at the end.
