But I should behave. I certainly do goofy things like that myself. I notice this summer that in an article from track I had Sarah Ruggles winning the boys 1600m run when it was her brother Jacob who had done so. And he was not the only one I have mis-named. Those typos are easier to make than one might think.
theres the answer to Portsmouths kicking game,,I didnt know you could ask the best kicker on the field to kick for you,,even the other teams
I don't see why you can't if South Point could do it:
>>Highlights:
Dale Swords scored two touchdowns in the second quater, one with a 3-yard run and cappeda 6-play, 20-yard drive. The kick was good by Kyle Auger at 8:50 in the second.
With 1:49 left in the second, Swords once again scored with a 37-yard run, 6-play, 67-yard drive. At 5:26 in the third, Jacob Seagraves ran a 13-yard touchdown. The kick was again good by Auger.
In the third quater with 4:17 left, Swords had yet another 28-yard touchdown, capped on a 5-play, 68-yard drive.
And finally in the fourth with at 11:21, Swords had a 37-yard run with a Auger making the kick.<<
Jacob Seagraves is from South Point. I suspect that the sentence of him scoring is misplaced?
Actually Trojan Spirit, for the past few years, we went everywhere Portsmouth did, as I found out last year when I followed the team, especially those trips to Zanesville and Warren, and the playoff game in Pataskala. Beautiful country to see, but wow, those were some long trips, especially the one to Warren. However, there were some great facilities I got to see and great drives to be had.

Here's an article from the Ironton Tribune about tomorrow night's game between Minford and Coal Grove. Too bad Minford gets more coverage from the Ironton Tribune than they do the Portsmouth Times. There are a few corrections that are listed in bold, but overall a pretty good article. Maybe the PDT can learn something.
----------------------------------------------------- Defense holds key as Hornets face Minford By JIM WALKER/Tribune Sports Editor
Thursday, September 11, 2008 11:52 AM EDT COAL GROVE — Last week the Coal Grove Hornets played good defense. This week they’ll play against a good defense.
Defense will be the name of the game Friday as the Hornets (1-2) visit the unbeaten Minford Falcons (3-0) in a key non-league game.
Linebacker Aaron Ostrowski, a 5-foot-9, 210-pound senior, anchors the defense. Also at linebacker should be Tyler Fitzgerald (6-0, 208) who doubles as the tight end (defensive end).
“They were a real nice defensive team last year. They have two real good linebackers this year,†said Lucas.
Other key players are defensive backs Brandon McCormick (5-7, 160) and Shaz Malone (6-3, 175) and lineman (tight end) Stefan Price (6-1, 220).
The Minford offense is led by junior quarterback Aaron Oesch (6-3, 185) (6'3 is a little generous) who helped the Falcons to an 8-3 record last year as they earned their first playoff berth since 2003.
Oesch and the Falcons managed to get a 21-14 win over Coal Grove last year.
“They have a nice quarterback. He can throw or run,†said Lucas. “They’re doing the same things they have been doing. They were a pretty good team last year.â€
Up front the Falcons have two key linemen in Ethan Hockett (6-5, 340) and Seth Howard (6-0, 230).
“We need to control the ball because their offense is very explosive. Their backs aren’t real big, but they’re quick,†said Lucas.
Minford is expected to be without running backs Joel Williams (5-10, 195) and Aaron Williams (5-11, 155) who are involved in eligibility issues after transferring from Portsmouth Notre Dame. They were at Lucasville Valley two years ago.
Coal Grove is 1-2 and needs a win to help enhance their playoff hopes this season. Lucas doesn’t put any extra stock in this game compared to the others on the Coal Grove schedule.
“They’re all the same every Friday night. They all count,†said Lucas.
The Hornets are coming off a dominating defensive effort as they shut down Lucasville Valley 31-8 last week.
A key for the Hornets was eliminating turnovers and mistakes they committed in losing 18-7 to Meigs and 20-13 to Paint Valley.
“We’ve played better every game. The kids are progressing. The kids we’ve plugged in this year you can see an improvement in their play,†said Lucas.
