Northwest will get their first win of the year, but closer than what people think if Manchester is indeed running the spread offense.

I love my Mohawks but I have to use my brain here.Manchester gets win number one this week. It's going to be a VERY LONG year in Mohawk Country. When was the last time it wasn't? That's the sad part....

Im a NW alum and to tell you the truth its time to give it up if you cant put a better product on the field than they have the past say 23 years or so.When was the last time they had a winning record? Was it 1985? At 6-4? I think it was....

Sadly I think it was..Even at that they were 1-4 in the SOC 2 in 85'.How did we beat Symmes Valley last year is what I cant believe.I didnt think there was another team out there as bad as our Mohawks....I say 0-10 is not out of the question this year.

Dont know much about them but it dosen't take a rocket scientist to see that NW is'nt good at all. And just not the team the WHOLE program or lack there of.....Hope you get it turned around sooner than later...I say Manchester takes this one as well.... 14-13

What? Only losing by 30 some when it could have been 50 some? What is a team like The Burg going to do to them? I bet they could put a 100 on them if they wanted too...But the Burg is classy and will only beat them by 5O or so...

The saddest part is losing is accepted at NW.I'm not dumping on the new coach but if someone like Larry Hall cant get it turned around to at least being competitive who is? Hall was a very sucessful coach at Wheelersburg and had a very good "PROGRAM" as well. He is the coach that laid the wood to his former team Thursday night while coaching the Tartans to victory.

you're probably right...but it is strange how they can't build up there morale especially with such a caring fan's like you telling them well you suck so you might as well quit... yeah ok i get it we're not good and i don't know if you played football at northwest or not but i did and im glad i did, yeah i i didn't win a lot but i had i blast playing and you want that taken away from these kids for a lot of whom this is all they have to look forward to...one day maybe many many years down the road northwest could be soc champs or maybe not but i know one thing they never will be if the chance is taken away from them!!!

Manchester WILL win this football game. I know it is there first year of football but my gosh. When I went to the East - Northwest game I have never seen such a horrible offense ran by the Mohawks. What do they call that??? I would love to know. Northwest needs to spread the field and at least get ONE wide out. I mean, you cant go anywhere when u are bunched up like they were. I really hate to see Northwest not be able to compete with the teams around here. Maybe they should dump the program. I mean, the kids cant enjoy losing year in and year out. Best of luck to the Mohawks.

What Northwest ran was the double wing,East ran last year and had moved the ball well on teams for the most part other than in the playoff game and Notre Dame. I don't think the offense suits the Northwest personel that well. I could see them running an I formation or something and having better luck at moving the ball. Their QB looked like he had a nice arm the times he did throw the ball.
To the game if Northwest can't stop the pass that I heard Manchester was running with the spread I could see them losing.

manchester does like to spread it out they threw the ball around on green pretty well for a first year team too there qb has a good arm they are not that bad for a first year team but they played a very young green team with many first year players and some of them are starting! green seemed very well disciplined and well coached hardly any penalties or turnovers but they lack of athletes due to graduation of 12 seniors from last years team
