my friend got to watch the game on time warrner he said that eric young was lowering his head when he ran.thats one way to get yourself injured.he needs to keep his head up.i know he wants to to get some extra yards, but, you will only hurt your head like that mybe im off on this but what do you think?
Re: WK 2 (0-1) Chillicothe @ Big Walnut
The offense doesn't need to be changed... only modified from year to year to fit the talent. I played in that offense on the playoff team and it is NOT to complicated. The playsheet is big but simple. I agree that Demick is a lineman, but IMO he is a defensive lineman. No knock on the kid but he is not smart enough to pick up on blocking schemes on the O-line. Defense however is simpler and one just needs to go play. That may be why Davidson moved him to fullback was to make things simpler. IMO Coach D is a very good H.S. coach. I agree that he is not an O.C. but his offense is good, he is very organized, and as said before he holds "leadership classes" for the seniors, which I believe are very effective. He and his staff sell the kids to colleges better than any coaching staff in SE Ohio. Coach Basil should be commended on that as well. If a kid wants to play in college they will find him somewhere.
To the game, I believe Chilli will have a very good shot at a victory. This is not last years Big nut team. They lost nearly all of there size and most returners. They should still be favored slightly but they will not by any means overwhelm the cavs.
To everyone bashing Chilli, I think you are premature. They always play a tough schedule and it will pay off during league play. IMO unless they play a terrible game the only SEOAL temas CAPABLE of beating them will be Logan, Ironton, and Portsmouth. Last years team was not nearly as good as this years and they were 0-3 outside the league and 4-3 in the league. Most SEOAL schools should emulate CHS in the way they schedule and don't back down.

Re: WK 2 (0-1) Chillicothe @ Big Walnut
Big Walnut did lose alot but still much better than Brookhaven, Big Nut 21, Chillicothe 7. next week it gets worse. Sheridan 42, Chillicothe 7. I think they will be fine in the SEOAL. Could only lose to Logan if they get it together. I see two SEOAL loses, but good games. Chilli ends up 5-5, IMO. Gymrat is correct in regards to scheduling. I dont think anyone plays as tough as a non league schedule as Chlli. They clearly back down from no one. Those first three games and especially the next two are as brutal as anyone could ever play. I think if Chilli can come away from the next two games and do well in the SEOAL , it would be a great statement in how tough they are mentally and physically. I do not know many teams that could do it!

Every site, forum, and poll I read had Brookhaven the favorite. Also have Chilli losing their first three, and with blowouts to Big Nut, and Sheridan! Most have Chillicothe going anywhere between 3-7 and 5-5. Read something other than a Chillicothe paper.
I love how you continue to just BASH chillicothe whereever you go? You have serious mental issues with chillicothe. I think you get happy in the pants when you hear the name chillicothe. Just admit it we all know it's true just one time.

Big Walnut 14
Chillicothe 7
Penalties and poor clock mngt. killing the Cavaliers. Basil missed a 42 yard field goal just wide right to end the half.

chilli 7
big walnut 14....half
chilli has dominated the 1st half , yet trail...2 long drives stopped by the yellow flag (8-1)
with a little over 2 min. till half, chilli was at midfield, when the pass was intercepted. led to big walnuts 2nd score. why in the H were they passing the ball? big walnut CANNOT stop the run. i just dont understand it. completely changed the momentum. chilli missed 42yd fg wide right as time expired.
