Re: SOUTHERN BASKETBALL 08-09
Another player that was not mentioned for Southern is Zach Manual. He's going to be a sophomore and has really great potential. He is a hard worker and is growing. Im looking forward to see him play full time varsity or maybe split time with both jv and varsity. Hopefully hes with his brother on varsity.

Southern is going to miss Kelski. do you think Roberts and Harris can make up for his absence?
Re: SOUTHERN BASKETBALL 08-09
Rees shouldn't be on the varsity. why people thinks he can play is beyond me. the Deem boy is a far better guard then Rees.

MTX you are completly right. rees is horrible even if he shot 15+ times a game he'd have like 5 points and if he touches the ball that much he'll have like 20 turnovers
Re: SOUTHERN BASKETBALL 08-09
shs shooter and mtx make great points rees does turn the ball over alot but he does need some credit for stepping up when brad brown was hurt last year

Kleski, Roberts and Harris made that team run last year watch the game s&w 7
Re: SOUTHERN BASKETBALL 08-09
True, credit given. He is older maybe he will surprise people this year. Kleski gone but brown is back and a good coach for the second year that will help too.

I don't know alot about Harris and Rees and them but I know that Andrew Roseberry, Ethan Martin, Marcus Hill, Dustin Custer, Taylor Deem, Zach manuel, and Colby Roseberry are all pretty good players so Southern is looking solid from freshman-jrs.

I think Southern will be tough this year...with Roberts, Brown, Harris, and they have height in John Brauer, hes about 6 foot 6...and he has improved alot...they should be a good team...looking for them to win TVC...opening up with Eastern at home..should be a great game

Brown could have a great season. Hes quick and can be very physically. There is some doubts about his knee. I think he will be ready and make to the old Brown, if Roberts steps up and becomes the leader that he can be, and Harris can get the 3-point game going Southern should win Districts easy.

Midrange you must not know alot about Southerns team, Brown is the starter and Reese comes in off the bench. Reese is good, but Brown is the senior.

I don't know about TVC champs, Waterford and definitely Fed. Hock should be able to beat Southern.
It will also be neat to see them play at Marietta College because the few times i've played there it was way different than any other gym i had ever played in. So it should be a challenge for both teams but Belpre should have an advantage because they've probably seen the gym alot.
