First, does the coach really act that way during games? Second, if he does act that way, how does he not get T'd up and thrown out of games? Are the officials really that afraid of the guy. Is he a big intimidating person? Does he only do that at home where he possibly schedules his own officials who will put up with his behavior? Or is all that talk just an exaggeration?
Well, Binary, you are going to have to go to some Eagles basketball games to form your opinion.
But, do not let everyone fool you. He does not win basketball games by screaming and altering referees calls. That rarely happens actually. Just, it looks like it happens sometimes.
He is a great coach and has a great mind for the game. He knows the game well, scouts teams well, and is very good at adjusting to a teams defense in the middle of the game. And the main strength he has as a coach is getting his players to listen. I think that every player really listens to what he says and tries their best to execute. They play really hard under him.
As for being intimidating, he actually is. He is not big and scary, but he is just one of those guys that is very respected around the area. And everyone wants to make sure they please him. Thats the only way I can see it.
And yes, most of the talk on here is exaggerated.
But, go to some games. They are fun to watch.
