Nine year old banned from league for throwing too fast

I am amazed to see a league do something like this. I would like to think there is some ulterior motive, because I do not think 40 is too fast for a kid this age. The nine year old team my son played on has 4-5 pitchers who can throw at least 40 (my son included), and one who is throwing between 45 and 50. This is rudiculous, and another example of our politically correct society. I would think a discrimination suit is upcoming/

You said it all in 2 words...ulterior motive. I'm sure there is more to the story.

One motive I heard on yesterday's talk radio surrounded this kid and his parent's refusal to be moved to play for a certain team and their sponsor, who happens to be a good buddy or relative of a league board member. Hmmmm.

I am sure there is more to this story . This past year alone , I had the machine at 45 for my kids . As for the kids speed , thats not really too fast . I have a ten year old that is throwing 51 right now .

SOME LITTLE LEAGUES ARE 9-12.. THOSE 9 YEARS OLD GO UP AGAINST 60 MPH PITCHERS. THIS IS CRAZY!

JEALOUS PARENTS! EVERYONE SHOULD BE PATTING THE BOY ON THE BACK. SOUNDS LIKE THE KID HAS A GOOD FUTURE AHEAD OF HIM..

NEXT, I GUESS, WE WILL PUT A SIZE LIMIT ON HOW TALL A BASKETBALL PLAYER CAN BE....

I'M SORRY, YOU CAN'T PLAY, YOU CAN DUNK THE BALL IN THE 8TH GRADE.. LOL :122246

This is a nice article. Looks like they filed a lawsuit! If you have ever had to go to court, It has probally has never happened yet.

I loved the pictures of the pitcher on this site also.. :12222
