Sounds like Valley is looking a little better than expected so far this year.

Both their wins have been against teams that are down this year. Let's see how improved they are come week 10.

RogueWarrior,

If it's all the same, I'm just hoping to see them improve in Week 3 first, then Week 4, then Week 5 and so on and so forth. The wins and losses will take care of themselves, but competing and getting better every week should be the primary focus.

Ok, we will. This is a team that everyone said will go 3-7 and blah blah blah. 6-4 will be great for this team!

Good Luck Indians, keep playing hard!

Week 10 is a long way off, and for a team that young to blow out their first two opponents I would say is a good start. They had a 48 point turn around from last year's Rock Hill score.

Agreed. Anytime you score that many points, your offense is obviously doing something right. Time will tell.

Very true. The thing about this young group is they dont know they are "supposed" to lose. Like I said, 6-4 building toward next year!

Another tough loss for the Redmen... but are there ever easy losses? The young and inexperienced Redmen again squander several scoring opportunities and fail to hold on long down situations... The Valley QB managed his team well and #7 back proved to be an ellusive runner... Valley had great depth and showed strength down into their second string and #52 is a beast, man he's a big boy!... As for the Redmen... #10 McCollister threw well I thought, but we had several misfortunate drops... We seem most successful on the quick hitter passes in the seams... #12 Davenport and #21 Malone run well after the catch and so getting them the ball early seems to work... it was good to see #5 Justice catch the ball up the middle, maybe he is getting on track, he made big catches last year and we need him as a weapon... Malone had another good game on both sides of the ball as did Davenport... #3 Coty Davis ran well... and #33 Bammer played with his usual heart and intensity... we got no pressure on the QB and until that happens, they will continue to stand back there and pick us apart... outside backers and ends have got to contain the QB when he comes out of the pocket... Our secondary is being asked to tackle too much... I know the coaching staff goes over this stuff but they can't play the game for them... I also noticed on special teams that many of the blockers never got a pad on anybody... they were searching but never hit a soul... we have got to lay some bodies down on the field turf... on short yardage, our backers did not fill the gaps and stuff the run, instead they moved east to west and wait on runners to come to them... These guys are some of the most aggressive players we have on the field, when they come to the ball like a magnet good things happen... we have got to be more intense on "D." I know we can play better than this, but knowing it is not enough - we simply have to be more agressive... Hopefully, the addition of Guy and Howard this week should help give our DL a needed boost and hopefully #42 Wayne Jenkins will continue to rev up his motor more each week... Props to #6 Jesse Lyons with a big hit on the opening second half kickoff that should have sparked an instant score... Our lineman are working hard, with many going both ways... I know its tough guys but keep getting stronger... the young soph Shane Wilds is coming along nicely every game and had a big fumble recovery last night... KEEP PLAYING GUYS! your day will come... Coaches... we know you guys can coach... the system isn't broken... Coach Knipp is a proven winner and he and his staff are trying to plug guys into new positions... some have worked and some may need repositioned, but I'm sure they will find the right place... they want to succeed as much as anyone else in the stands... hang in there and keep stressing the little things... one day soon the light will start to come on and we will see the team we know is in there come out! :122249
