Cody Huff, Jackson. The young man was the workhorse of the Ironmen in their victory over Waverly. He never seemed to stop and his heart was obvious in every play. Cody wins, in my opinion, hands down!
Re: Week 2 Player of the Week Nominations
Brandon Schankweiler #7 QB for Burg. 1st official start. 160 yards on 12 carries and 3 TDs against South Point in Burgs 28-20 win.
Or better yet how about a Co-POW. His older brother Jordan with 130 yards as well.
290 yards rushing out of the 380 for Burg between the two.

The entire Wahama team. They had at least six different players I know of score and dominated Southern 59-0. Pick any one of them you want but as a whole that team dominated last night.

Re: Week 2 Player of the Week Nominations
MINE THIS WEEK GOES TO JONATHON SCWEIKART. HE HAS A GUN, AND IF HE'S NOT GETTING LOOKS FROM BIG SCHOOLS ALREADY HE WILL. HE CAN THROW A FROZEN ROPE FOR AT LEAST 60 YARDS, WITH JOHN ELWAY TYPE TIGHT SPIRALS. A LOT OF HIS PASSES HAVE BEEN DROPPED, BUT HE LAYS THEM RIGHT THERE. AND WITH THE PRECISION SPIRALS. HE MAKES THEM EASY TO CATCH.
ONLY DOWNSIDE I SEE WITH HIM, IS HE DOES NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH HIS KICKING LEG WHEN KICKING EXTRA POINTS. BUT HE PUTS NEARLY EVERY KICKOFF IN THE ENDZONE, WHICH IS A BIG WEAPON, IN IT'S OWN RIGHT, BECAUSE OF NO RETURNS. THE EXTRA POINT FOLLOW THROUGH WILL BE EASY TO FIX.

I'M SORRY JON. IS THE FIGHTING TIGERS QB, AND FIELD GOAL, AND KICKOFF MAN. AS WELL AS A DB. IRONMAN, TO SAY THE LEAST.
Re: Week 2 Player of the Week Nominations
As for Huff'stats (and as great as they are they still don't tell nearly the whole picture.
42 carries
259 yards rushing
3 TD
Played a solid game on defense vs last weeks POW Roback
...all on a toe that is pretty injured/broken

Re: Week 2 Player of the Week Nominations
Cody Strahler of Waterford who had 200 total yards. He played kick returner, punt returner, tail back, and Defensive back Friday night in Waterford's 28-20 win over Frontier. He also caught two interceptions at DB including his last one with a minute left in the 4th with Frontier driving. I would have to say you could give this to any one of Waterford's secondary who forced 7 interceptions last night.

But the game was against Frontier. People have to keep in mind the level of competition the players are going against.
