Re: WK 3 (0-2) South Gallia @ (0-2) Southern
We havent had to much trouble fumbling this year our drives just end up stalling or we get shut down on fourth down when we go for it.
The QB might be putting a little bit to much air under it but when you run the fade route arent you suppost to put air under it? Our WR's need to run under it and make a play of it. If all else fails, get pass interference called on you so the DB cant catch the ball. Getting moved back 15 yards is ALOT better than the other team taking it back the other way. I am not criticizing the WR's either, I am just saying its not all the QB's fault. When we give him time he has a nice arm and can make some very accurate passes.
I am sure Burleson has went over all these things this week in practice. I can say this, the Rebels are improving every week.
GO REBELS, BEAT THE TORNADOES!

Good game by the Rebels. Nice to get a win. Nice hits put down from that #5. Now on to Wahama.
Re: WK 3 (0-2) South Gallia @ (0-2) Southern
I thought for the longest time the final score was going to be 6-0. Southern really had there chance in the second quarter. They made it to the 10 yard line, and on first down #31 for Southern makes a good run and followes it up with a stupid personal foul. Took the wind right out of there sails, after that they tried a field goal, it either was blocked or the kicker for Southern didn't kick the ball very well. Southern had other chances throughout the game but South Gallia just shut the door. It was a good game for South Gallia.
And on a sidenote I was proved wrong by South Gallia's QB, he played very well, yes a few lofty passes, but I also saw him show off a gun a few times.

Are you serious. The SG QB. did not play good on offence. Way to many off passes. B.J. did very good on Defence. The QB position is there week point.

revjimjones....where are you? All of us SG fans would love to hear more of your unfathomable football wisdom. Please tell us almighty one what our season will be like now with a win under our belt, or did your amazing crystal ball self-destruct as the final seconds ticked off the clock at Southern Friday night?

Did I hear that Jeff Clyburn had a kickoff return for a touchdown?

OK, maybe I was wrong.
Did anyone see the game stats? 123 yards for SG and 298 for S. I also heard SG was 2-15 passing.
Southern dominated this game and just had costly penalties and turnovers.
If people are happy for just getting by a bad team (Southern), what does that say for the fans' outlook on the rest of the season?
South Gallia did not deserve that win!!!
And Wahama will hang 50 on them.
As for the rest of the season....
A slight chance of beating Green.

Isn't it just easier to admit you were wrong rather than keep downgrading these young men? Why not just say "I was wrong" and leave it at that? I'm sure that everyone from SG knows the program is down right now without you having to throw it in their faces week after week!! Either congratulate SG on the win or drink the Kool-Aid that you promote!!

Was I not called out about my predictions? And I have the right to defend my thoughts. When I think a particular way, I have reasons for those thoughts.

I think people are not smart enough to understand why I choose the call sign revjimjones. It has nothing to do with my drinking of the kool-aid. It has something to do with a particular snake oil salesman and non-questioning that snake oil that is being sold.

I think you are upset because no school around here will give your "snake oil" a chance.

Re: WK 3 (0-2) South Gallia @ (0-2) Southern
It was nice to see the Rebels get a win this year but to be honest, I wouldnt have cared if they didnt. What I am concerned about is them getting better and improving and after three weeks, I see them improving game after game.
Re: WK 3 (0-2) South Gallia @ (0-2) Southern
Maybe not this year or next year, but I bet SG will get back to the winning in the near future.
