WK3 (1-0) Sheldon-Clark, Ky @ (0-2) Fairland

Fairland has lost some tough games to this team recently.
Thoughts?

According to a thread at bluegrassrivals.com, Sheldon-Clark is supposed to be loaded this year - even bigger & stronger than the past couple of years. Fairland has done well spreading the field against them the last few seasons. I don't think this recent move to the I-formation is going to do well vs. a team this big & strong. But, obviously, Fairland's new staff didn't study up on the spread enough, so they're probably better off in that I-formation. It's just not conducive to Fairland's immense talent on offense (Hatfield was one of the leading passers in the state last year...now with barely over 100 yards passing after 2 games). So, Sheldon-Clark by 2-3 TDs.

as long as fairland can stay away from the cramps and injuries then they will be fine. They are a very talented team and cant wait to see this game friday night.

I dont know anything about Sheldon but I think that Fairland looked better spread than they do this year in the I. Good luck to em both and pulling for FHS to pull some more wins into the OVC

after watching the first game at home, i don't see fairland winning because of lack of condition. i'd like them to pull the upset but i just dont see it.

also, did they run the i more against meigs because in the first game there wasn't alot of it, just most of what coach wilcoxen ran, meaning the spread and a funky wing package?

as earp said, this series has been close since we started it, and it seems to me it's pretty much back and forth every year.

I remember in '01 we went down there, and they were supposed to blow us out of the water after they won the state title (or so we were told) the year before, and I seriously think some folks "bet the farm" SC would beat us. we handed them a 27-20 loss. that was the first time I've had a police escort from a stadium...
