If Minford comes out like they did in the first quarter like last week they will be fine and run away with it. If they play like they did in the second half we could see a good ball game. LOTS of mistakes last week but im sure coach daniels will have them ready for this week

Minford 35

Hunington Ross 7

play like they did the second half?? noooo they have to play like they did the first couple drives.. after that it was stinky, partially credit to wellston for not giving up and providing a reality check for these boys..

Wellston was very effective running the power to the right side of the line. Minford defensive ends have to shed the blocker and get to the ball carrier.

#20 for Wellston ran hard, and one arm tackle sure wasnt bringing him down. Minford needs to stay low, drive through the tackle and WRAP up. Too much arm tackling against Wellston.

I sure hope that fundamental tackling will be a focus this week, I am sure it will be.

After talking to some of the players, I think that Minford was dissapointed in their game against Wellston. Not to take anything away from Wellston, but I think that the boys and we Falcon faithful know that Minford should have won that game by at least 2 tds, if not more. I hope that they remember that this week and dont let up after going up by a couple scores.

Well.. i think a lot of it is in the attitude.. If you remember right last year wellston played pretty well in the beginning but they were put away during the rest of the game because the team kept playing.. they have 4 quarters for a reason, PLAY THEM ALL. it could have been worse if we would have lost, all i'm saying is playing like that against an SOC team will be a big mistake

i couldnt agree with u more minnyackmack10....the falcons did not play 4 quarters against wellston....that is an area that needs a bunch of improvement b/c when soc time gets here, playing just 1 or 2 quarters is not going to cut it....lets hope we see a different falcon team this friday in huntington...i wish them the best!!

According to todays PDT the Falcons will probably not be playing with a full roster tomorrow. With the threat of having their first win taken from them I only hope they concentrate on this game and not that one.

Despite what has been going on this week, Minford should pull this one out easy. Hunington always plays the Falcons tuff but Minford will win. Good luck to both teams and have a injury free game.

Just go with what you got and play. Minford to win by 14. I know this will weigh on their minds but they need to play with what they got. They will be fine

This is the same coverage.. or well lack of coverage of high school football(areas most beloved sport)... Who knows? They gotta play with 'em or without 'em...dont think it hurts too much in this game..

Minford gets next to no coverage on their first two wins but there sure was no problem covering this issue was there?!?!?! :122248

Minford will win this game handedly. After not having a good showing last week there are some that will be looking to redeem themselves this week. Don't make excuses, do your jobs and deliver.

I predict another win against a winless team for Minford. The Falcons had better be ready for the tough stretch because with the soft schedule right now, it's going to be hard to rack up the playoff points with these types of wins.

It was either play these teams or have open weeks, so what do you do? Catch 22. I know not having any 2nd level points right now sucks! I think Minford will be ready for your Hornets. You should worry about Valley first. If CG is not careful, you all will be 0-3 after tomorrow. Really surprised you all aren't 2-0.

I understand that it's not their fault. What I was saying is that this schedule could come back to haunt them in two ways:
1) As we mentioned, by sucking points away, and
2) Not preparing them to face the big-time opponents that they will have to beat to make the playoffs.

Minford will be ready for the Hornets. As I've said on other threads, it wouldn't surprise me to see CG start out 0-4. Do I think CG is better than their record? Of course I do. The talent is there. However, they have yet to prove themselves worthy of respect from the SOC II teams and other area Region 19 teams becasue they continue to lose the "Big Games".

The early games won't prepare them, but the SOC II will with some tough games down the stretch. Actually from the CG game on, the schedule is going to be tough and will be the true test for Minford. Good luck against Valley.
